Whitney-Port-Roxy-Olin-The-City-Miami-111109.jpgHi city people!! So last night definitely had its fair share of drama. While I usually shy away from confrontation (especially at an environment such as backstage at a fashion show ) I felt as if I just had to assert myself.

Roxy and I really get along seamlessly, but with any friendship sometimes misunderstandings are just purely inevitable. I give her props for meeting a guy (let alone my best friend's brother) and enjoying herself but I guess I just didn't want to be all alone in Miami (of all places ). Anyway, Kelly definitely gave us what we deserved and like all things we learned once again not to mess with her!!! She was 100% right in reprimanding us.

All in all we had such a blast. Weren't the Mara Hoffman bathing suits so amazing??? Already makes me yearn for summer!!! I hope you guys are enjoying the show and continue to watch it all unfold!!! Next week comes a bout of bad dating, which I'm sure we all know too well. But like my mama always says- you have to kiss a lot of frogs to find your prince. Well, that's just what I intend to do. Just wait for it....

Xoxo,
Whit

Just wanted to share this article about the producer behind our show! Always fun to get an inside look of how we make the reality!!!

xoxo,
Whit

Hi all... I hope everyone enjoyed the season finale of The City last night. Throughout this whole experience I have watched this show as somewhat of a home video -- more like a fun way to relive the past. But last night's episode was not this way.

While extremely hard to live through a breakup in real time, it was even harder for me to have to feel the pain again. All I will say is that I have loved filming this show and doing all that it entails.

What do you guys think about my decision to let Jay move in?

In last night's episode of The City, we definitely had quite the range of drama!  The episode began with Jay and I discussing his upcoming show over lunch.  When I mentioned that I had invited Olivia, he made a smart ass little comment about roping an area off so she wouldn't have to "mingle with the commoners," (hence the title of the episode).

Erin and I met Olivia at her apartment before heading to the show, but Olivia wasn't exactly in as big a rush as I was to get there.  By the time Olivia was finally ready to go, Jay's band had already started playing.

I guess Olivia felt bad about making us late, so she got Jay a gig at a charity event she was hosting.  What initially seemed like a kind gesture suddenly became an awkward and uncomfortable situation when at the event, all Olivia, Nevan and friends did was make fun of Jay and his band, and they definitely didn't try to hide it.  It's an understatement to say that Jay was more than ready to go when he finished his set!

Hey guys!  I just wanted to let you know that you can now purchase the theme song of The City on iTunes!  It's called Top of the World, by the Pussycat Dolls and I just think it's so fun and catchy!

Enjoy!!!

I can't believe Barack Obama is doing a reality show (wink, wink)!  If he starts designing clothes then I'm really in trouble!

What did you guys think?

Hey guys.  So the major drama that went down in last night's episode wasn't based around relationships this time, but around body image.  Kelly Cutrone was in town for her birthday so I thought it might be fun to take the girls to her party, which might have been a bit of a mistake.  I warned them that Kelly could be a bit intimidating and in your face at times, and she definitely lived up to those expectations.

While we were sitting at a table with Kelly, she immediately launched in on Allie's tiny frame, telling her she was too skinny and asking her if she needed help.  Allie was so offended by the attack that she immediately got up and left the party.

Body image issues are something that every girl today inevitably has to deal with -- not by choice, not by habit, but by an unknown factor that we must face and in turn conquer...

I'm sure you've all heard that my new show, The City, has been picked up for a second season and I'm so thrilled about it!  Honestly, I still can't believe that all of this is happening to me -- first of all that I was given my own show, second that people are even watching and enjoying it, and third that it got picked up for a second season!

I'm so grateful that there are people out there that have responded to the story of my life.  I never want to forget how lucky I am to be in this position and I continually have to pinch myself everyday to see if this is all real.

Who knows how this next season is going to unfold, or where my career, my friendships, and my relationship with Jay will go -- all I do know is that I'm personally so excited to live it, and I hope you're all just as excited to experience this journey with me!

Thanks for watching!  Keep tuning in to The City Mondays at 10 pm on MTV!

Monday night's episode of The City was filled with relationship drama between Allie and Adam, and one can't help but wonder whether Allie was right in choosing to believe Adam over Catarina when it came to their alleged "kiss".

In situations such as these, it's hard to know who to believe; the love of your life who you want more than anything to trust, or a perfect stranger who wants to speak to you "female to female" and has absolutely no reason to lie.

I would love to hear your guys' thoughts!

Hi all! Sorry I've been missing for a little. This weekend was my sister Ashley's fiance's birthday, as well as her 27th birthday, so there was a lot of family time and celebrating!!!  I came home and surprised Ash for the weekend!!!!

I'm heading back to New York tomorrow evening and I'm definitely sad to leave my family, but so excited to get back!

Anyway, I wanted to take this time to free write a bit about all the drama that went down on last night's episode of The City.

Hey everyone!  Here's another fashion post giving you the lowdown about what I wore in Monday night's episode of The City!

Episode 5: Boys Night Out

1st scene on the double date: Urban Renewal flannel shirt from Urban Outfitters and Morgan Soule turquoise earrings.

2nd scene walking through Central Park: Members Only jacket, vintage top, Raven jeans, with Chanel flats.

3rd scene at Lyric Diner: Maj top, Anthropologie headband, Vintage bag, with London Sole flats.

4th scene in the park with Jay: Same as above except with an Opening Ceremony jacket.

5th scene at The Cafeteria: H&M bag, Kill City jeans, Vintage sweater, and Fiorentini Baker boots.

In case you missed it, check out last week's wardrobe play-by-play!

All of these pics came from Monday night's episode on THECITY.MTV.COM.

In last night's episode, "Boys Night Out," the usual dose of drama escalated to an all-time high.  Adam's girlfriend Allie was finally introduced when Jay and I went on a double date with them.  Allie is a model and has to travel a lot and was getting ready to leave for a photo shoot tomorrow.  She asked me to keep an eye on Adam...

Meanwhile, Nevan was dealing with his own issues, expressing concerns about finding a job to Olivia while at an art gallery in Chelsea.

Back to Allie and Adam -- Adam and Jay had a boys night out, and somewhere along the line a rumor began to circulate that Adam had kissed another girl.  Adam tells Allie about the rumor as soon as she returns home from the shoot.  She believes him but can't understand why every time she leaves town he has to have a boys night out and hang out with random girls.

As for Nevan and Olivia -- it looks like Nevan is going to be making a temporary home for himself on Olivia's couch!

As a 23-year-old young woman (wow, weird to think of myself in that respect), I learn so much each and every day that sometimes it becomes too much to soak in and I just want to explode.  Every minute we have fresh emotions, new opinions and infinite thoughts that arise and eventually mold us into the women and men we are meant to be. Mixing such a phase (my mama calls it the "quarter life crisis") with actually having to relive each moment on television can be a lot to take in.

After watching tonight's episode I really began to ask myself what love truly means. Young adults like us tend to throw the term around and treat it as a manifestation of our imaginations but it has to be so much more than that, right?

Hey guys!  Well I'm in a cab right now on my way to work at DVF and I'm about to call in to the Ryan Seacrest's morning show, On-Air with Ryan Seacrest, for an interview!

The interview will air Monday morning on LA's 102.7 KIIS-FM, so tune in  if you want to hear more about what's going on in my life right now, as well as details about The City!

Here's a pic I took on my phone just before calling!

So here are a few pics from beautiful Miami, as well as one of Jay and I on the flight home!

It was sooo wonderful to take a vacation in the middle of winter and be in 80 degree weather while it was 11 degrees in New York!

A lot of you have been asking questions about my co-stars on The City and while I can't get into detail about them just yet since it's still so early in the season, I thought it might be fun to try and define each of them with one word.  So here goes!

Jay is Endearing

Olivia is Experienced

Erin is Saucy

Samantha is Savvy

Adam is Suave

Do you guys agree or disagree with my assessments?  If you had to describe me and each of my co-stars with one word, what words would you use?

Check out more photos like these on THECITY.MTV.COM!!!

It is always so fun to dress up and get ready for every new experience I encounter, which is why I love filling you guys in on what I wear in each episode.

You all seemed to enjoy last week's post on my outfits from the premiere, so I'm going to try and make it a weekly thing.

Episode 3: The L Word

1st scene in Erin's apartment
: Vintage black blouse, Grey Ant high waisted jeans and a vintage bag.

2nd scene at the Smith: Morgan Soule earrings, J brand jeans and Diesel boots.

3rd scene at Diane Von Furstenberg: Diane Von Furstenberg jacket, vintage skirt from scout in LA, Kooba purse and Ivanka Trump jewelry.

4th scene at Diane Von Furstenberg: Tucker blouse, Yigal Azrouel skirt and Anthropologie tights.

5th scene/Apartment move-in day: American Vintage tank, Tsubi orange jeans and vintage boots.

I hope you guys enjoyed the show and are having fun growing up with me. I have learned so much about myself through this entire experience and with the start of 2009, my resolution is to learn from my mistakes and focus on the present instead of dwelling on the past.

What are some of your New Year's resolutions???

I just realized that when I was doing the City recap the other day, I totally forgot to tell you all to check out the show's theme song called Top of the World by the Pussycat Dolls.  It is such a fun song and I am sooo excited to have it as the opening tune that sets up the feel of the whole show!

Listen to the song below!

A lot of you have been asking me about where I get my clothing and what I was wearing in some of the episodes of The Hills, so I wanted to give you a little info about some of my outfits from the premiere of The City.

In the first scene, I was wearing a yellow vintage dress from a store called Scout in Los Angeles.  I absolutely love that dress and I thought it was perfect for my first day at my new job!

When Jay and I had our first date, I was wearing an above the knee, navy Opening Ceremony dress. This dress reminds me of how beautiful the weather was when I first moved there. I truly think New York is the best place to be when its warm.

For the fashion show (one of the CRAZIEST days of my life), I was obviously wearing Diane Von Furstenberg!  The headbands were my favorite part of the fashion show, seeing as I wore one to The Hills finale event.

In the scene where I asked Jay to come with me to Olivia's dinner party, I was wearing a Quail tank and Kill City jeans -- a cute, casual outfit to wear during the daytime.

When I had lunch with Alex for that dreaded conversation, I was wearing a Johnson Romper dress, London Sole flats, and I was carrying an H&M bag.

In the last scene when I went to talk to Kelly at People's Revolution, I wore an Alice McCall dress, a Sass and Bide jacket (one of my favorites) and London Sole shoes.

I hope that I answered some of your questions -- if there were any outfits I missed, let me know!

All of these pics came from Monday night's episode on THECITY.MTV.COM.

Hey guys!  I hope you enjoyed part one of my recap of the premiere of The City -- now here's the part two!

So my first few days in New York were a huge success!  I was thrilled to hear from Alixe about how pleased everyone at Diane Von Furstenberg was with how the show went backstage, and I was so flattered that Olivia invited me to her dinner party.  I was a little upset when Jay didn't want to come with me to Olivia's but I understood that it wasn't really his scene.  He more than made up for it though by showing up and surprising me!  With everything going so well, I definitely didn't anticipate the drama that was about to ensue!

When Alex and I had lunch, I thought it was just so we could catch up -- little did I know that he would hit me with a slew of upsetting facts about Jay and his ex.  I truly felt sick to my stomach but I had to compose myself.  I noticed that when I get nervous I put my hand on my ear and my face -- just a funny habit!

To make matters worse, then came the fight between Jay and Alex -- sooooo much swearing!  My mom always taught me never to swear in an argument if you want to be taken seriously.  Obviously they were very heated and passionate about the subject so I guess I can't really blame them.

After all the drama, it was so nice to be back at People's Revolution with Kelly -- I felt so at home there.  Kelly is such an awesome mother figure in New York; she keeps an eye on me and is so loyal.  Thank God for her!!!!

So that's my little play-by-play of my thoughts and feelings regarding the premiere.  I hope you all enjoyed the episodes and stay tuned!

I would love to hear what you all thought so please leave your feedback in comments!

All of these pics came from Monday night's episode on THECITY.MTV.COM.

Hey everyone!  So last night was the big night --  I hope all of you were able to watch The City and I would love to hear what you thought of it.

Me and my entire family gathered at my house in LA to watch it and I thought it would be fun to give you a little recap with my own take on the episode -- and a little juicy behind the scenes stuff too!

The episode began with an introduction of my transition from LA life to city life and I can't even tell you how sad I was to see the scene of me and Lauren saying goodbye.  My eyes got really watery and I almost broke down, but within seconds excitement took over!

So the episode introduced you guys to a lot of new people!  First came Olivia, who I met on my first day at Diane Von Furstenberg.  I was already so nervous for my first day there, and it became even worse when I met her because she seemed so experienced!  Olivia  taught me what a socialite really is -- I mean I sort of knew the parameters of what it takes to be a "social" considering I have grown up in Hollywood, but I found it so interesting that you can be completely self-made in the cutthroat environment that is New York Çity!

Next Erin was introduced.  She and I actually met through our ex-boyfriends (they were best friends) at Coachella -- a big music festival.  We had all stayed in an RV together there and instantly hit it off!  I loved her free spirit and outgoing personality and I knew our friendship would last.

And of course, you all already knew Jay from The Hills!  It was so crazy/surreal for me to have one of my first dates with Jay filmed!  First dates are awkward enough, let alone having four cameras in your face, but our connection was so real that it didn't even phase us!  I love the part where Jay does his American accent lol.  I force him to do it ALL the time. It's one of my favorite things he does!  My attempt at an Australian accent is something he could do without, i'm sure.

After the date, I didn't think the cameras had caught us kissing down the street, but sure enough they did!!!

The DVF fashion show was probably one of the most hectic days of my life!  My first week of work and I was already working backstage at Diane Von Furstenberg's spring show and meeting her for the first time.  We had an awesome front row that included Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria, Uma Thurman, Rosario Dawson, Rachel Zoe, Molly Sims, and so many others -- everything turned out absolutely beautifully  -- it was a BIG day for DVF!

Have to run out for a bit, but I'll post more from last night's episode later this afternoon!  Ciao.

All of these pics came from Monday night's episode on THECITY.MTV.COM.
Hey guys!  I hope you all watched the premiere of The City last night.  I'll be putting up posts about what I wore in the show, as well as my personal take on the episode in a bit, so keeping checking back.  Here's a video for now!  xoxo

Hey guys!  So here are two pictures of me and some of my friends.  The first one is of me and a few of my girls out in New York recently, and the second one is of my and my best friend Jo (who I've posted about before) at her house on Christmas.  It's so nice when I get to spend time with Jo since she lives in LA and we don't get to see each other that often, so it's really special when we do.

Keep an eye out for more pics of me and my friends because there's a lot more to come!

Don't forget to tune in when my new show The City premieres tonight at 10 pm on MTV!!!!

Don't forget to tune in to The Hills finale tonight, and the premiere of my new show The City on December 29th.

Feel free to leave more questions and I'll try to answer as many as possible!
With the finale of The Hills just a few days away and the premiere of The City soon after, I just wanted to talk about some of the differences you'll be seeing between the two.

Feel free to leave any questions you have for me in a comment below and I'll try to answer as many as I can!

Hey guys!  Check out who's on this Sunday's cover of the NY Post's Page Six Magazine -- ME!!!  To be perfectly honest, I find this so surreal.  I feel flattered yet scared at the same time that I have such huge shoes to fill!!!  The style and glamour of Sex and the City is incomparable and to have them tout me as the "new Carrie Bradshaw" is just too awesome for words.  Nothing can ever top that show but the possibility that The City could be the new generation in the same kind of world... well that is just so cool!

Be sure to pick up a copy when it hits news stands this Sunday!

After watching the Whitney Looks Back: From The Hills to The City special this week, I couldn't believe my journey on The Hills.  It seemed like all work and no play, but it has shaped the way my career has developed and I have no regrets whatsoever!  It's pretty fun to look back and have all those experiences forever and ever on tape.  Thank you for sharing these past few years with me.  I hope you found it fun enough to continue watching The Hills, and to get excited for The City

I thought it might be fun to share one of my favorite Hills memories with you -- I found this clip from Wednesday night's special.  Enjoy...and feel free to have a little laugh at my expense...I think you know what it's going to be!

At the time I thought this was just the most embarrassing moment of my life -- come to think of it, it still is!  But it made me learn to laugh at myself and realize that picking yourself up, both figuratively and literally, is just a part of life.

My fall is obviously old news, so here's a more recent incident that reinforces the fact that I'm the clumsiest person ever!!!

The other night I was walking through a huge crowd at a restaurant in the meat packing district and for some reason I was whispering to myself, "Don't fall, don't fall."  It's like I could feel it coming or something... and what do you know, within one step of being back at my table, I fell flat on my ass!  The worst part is that the only people who saw it were my boyfriend and his best friend....the worst people I could think of to see it happen!

What's one of your most embarrassing moments?

Hey guys!  Tonight at 10 pm be sure to catch my 90-minute special on MTV called Whitney: From The Hills to The City.  I'll be reflecting on the four seasons I spent on The Hills; the different jobs, the drama, the ups and downs -- EVERYTHING!!!  So if you want to hear all from MY perspective, then tune in at 10 pm!
As my time on The Hills is nearing an end, and the premiere of my new show The City gets closer and closer, I wanted to tell you guys a bit about my expectations for the cast of The City in comparison with my experience on The Hills.
