Missouri Here I Come!!!!

I’m leaving for Missouri today and to get myself pumped up I’m posting this final batch of pics from last summer. Apparently there’s a crazy heat wave going on and it’s ridiculously hot but I don’t even care. I’m just excited to join my fam in boating, tubing, eating, mini-golfing, go-karting, board gaming and all-around Port silliness! (more…)

So Excited for Randy’s Frozen Custard!

‎Hi my dears,
One of the things I look forward to most when I go to Missouri is Randy’s Frozen Custard. Although they are famous for their “Ozark Turtle” my favorite is a Concrete. It is sorta like a Mcflurry or Blizzard. I can’t even explain how good Randy’s is!!!! My family used to get dry ice and have them ship it to us in LA! That’s how good it is! Haha. They have soooo many mix-in options. A few summers ago they added waffle cone pieces to the list and that just really tops it off! If you ever come to Lake of the Ozarks, this is a MUST!!! I can’t wait to get to Missouri and indulge in a concrete!!

An Unexpected Pet Rescue

Hey guys,
So Paige and I decided we wanted to go on a hike today. A few of our friends told us not to go because it was sooo hot out. Well turns out we went and it was meant to be. We were not even ten minutes up the hill when all of a sudden we saw a woman on the side of the trail with her dog, that had collapsed on the ground. We immediately ran over! Luckily another girl on the trail had a sheet in her car and she had already run down to get it and back up. Within seconds we had the dog in the sheet and the four of us were trekking the 95 lb black lab down the hill! The ranger came as we were on our way down. It’s times like these that remind me that there really are good people in the world. There was a man on a bike who rode for 25 minutes to the Ranger Station!!

So everyone, please be careful when taking your dogs out this summer. It is just too hot!! Pack lots of water and make sure not to go too far. Remember, their paws get hot too so bring some socks (the dogs paws were bleeding from the hot gravel today!)

I also was thinking, why are the Ranger numbers not listed on the trails for reasons like this??
