Sometimes all it takes to get back into a workout routine is some new workout gear. Whether it’s new running shoes or fun yoga pants, even one item has the ability to motivate. Some of my favorites are Nike and New Balance shoes, Lululemon pants and Victoria’s Secret workout gear.

I just moved out of my house on Tuesday and I have to admit I was a little sad to say goodbye to my closet. I spent a lot of time organizing and adding my own personal design touches over the time I lived there, but with a new year comes new projects, and I’m excited to make a new space my own. I’ve been looking around online and found a bunch of images that I thought were worth sharing (for those of you who are maybe looking to be more organized in 2013). While not all of these are my personal style, it’s still cool to draw inspiration from all of the unique characteristics of each.

The overall theme of style in 2012 was that of comfortable exploration. Whether it was experimenting with metallics, heels or prints, they all came in comfortable forms; metallic denim, sneaker wedges and printed tees were at the helm. Every year becomes more accepting of various trends and fashion experiments. I’m excited to see what 2013 has in store! Before we move forward, though, here is a look back at my top trends of 2012:
