Yesterday I was reminded of one of my favorite fashion do’s as a child — the Stick-On Glitter Earrings. Oh yes, my friends, before I had my ears pierced this was my go-to look! I remember putting them on for special occasions and even just for a day at school. So for this week’s Flashback friday, I present to you 30 days of Stick-On Glitter Earrings. Time to bring this trend back, or not so much?!? xoxo, Whit

Flashback Friday: Britney Turns 30!
Britney Spears, the music goddess of our generation, turned 30 today, so for Flashback Friday I thought it only appropriate to take a walk down Britney memory lane. It was 1998 when Britney Spears first captivated the world and if you ask me, the only word needed to describe her is “phenomenon”. With her catchy tunes and insane dance moves (yes, I still know every single dance, step for step), she earned her title of “Princess of Pop” and the music scene was never the same. I was 13-years-old when ‘Baby One More Time’ hit the radio waves and every time I hear that song I feel like I’m back in the eighth grade. Britney’s musical style evolved over the years as Britney matured, which is when, in my opinion, her golden age occurred. In 2001 she released her self-titled album, Britney, followed by In the Zone in 2003, which included my favorite song and music video of all time, “Toxic”. (more…)
Flashback Friday: Getting Festive for
Thanksgiving
What are some of your favorite Thanksgiving memories?
Flashback Friday: Turtlenecks, Once
Function Now Fashion!
What a cute way to keep warm and be stylish! I remember the good old days when my mom would layer me in a turtleneck under my school uniform to keep me warm. My mom’s motto was always, “Never will my kids be cold or hungry.”
Now I see so many designers bringing back the trend in such great ways — like big wool sweaters, layering under a sleek suit, turtleneck dresses… the list goes on. I absolutely love them and actually think they are so flattering! Remember — If you keep your neck warm, most likely your body will stay warm AND look good doing so! Now my mom doesn’t have to worry about me going cold but I hope she always worries about feeding me!!!! xoxo, Whit
