The Met Ball is a day where those invited can take risks, and have fun with fashion. It is an inspiring event, and one that I look forward to each and every year. I await the red carpet with baited breath, wondering who is going to make the biggest statement, or take the most daring risk. This year, with PUNK being the theme, many did not disappoint. Matte lip color popped up all over the Spring 2013 runways, and it has fast-become one of my favorite makeup trends. A matte lip in any shade complements minimalist makeup, adding just enough color to brighten up a more natural look. Style Staples
Though I love trying new trends and adding fashion finds to my wardrobe, there are a few style staples that I’ll always keep on hand. The four things you’ll always find stashed in my closet are a black moto jacket, pointy-toe flats, a collared button-up and frilly socks for accessorizing. These are all items that can be worn a variety of ways to create multiple looks. For instance, moto jackets can make a patterned dress more casual or add structure to a slouchy tee and jeans.
