Raising Awareness for Kidney Cancer
Hey guys,
I received an email that I wanted to share with guys about a cause I believe in. Denise Richards and ShoeDazzle recently paired up for the company’s “Celebrity Shoe Design Program for Charity,” benefitting the Kidney Cancer Association. Richards worked on designing special shoes in honor of the charity with a young girl Tay, who passed away from a rare form of kidney cancer in September. The words “Live for Tay” are inside the shoes they designed.
Both Richards’ mother and Tay suffered the same rare form of kidney cancer. The launch of the “Denise” and “Tay” shoes seeks to raise crucial funds that contribute to saving lives worldwide.
Help the cause by buying a pair of shoes or heading to the KCA’s Giveforward site. xoxo, Whit
An Arts & Crafts Afternoon
Over the holidays I had the privilege of spending time with some amazing children at Kaiser Permanente Pediatric Center. I, along with Stacy Keibler, went to hand out art kits provided by Faring Capital through The Art of Elysium, a nonprofit organization that connects actors, artists and musicians with children who are battling serious medical conditions. I was so inspired by their strength and bravery and I am truly grateful that I was given the opportunity to get to know them.
Head over to www.theartofelysium.org to make a donation. Every little bit helps!
