WHITNEY EVE SPRING COLLECTION, 2009

Recently in Style Category

Hi sweets!!
Watching the episode last night had me laughing so hard that I went into my iPhoto library and searched for the pics my little sister Paige took of the cake fight!!!

That day was so tense as I was so nervous for the unveiling of my collection, not to mention Roxy's and Kelly's miscommunication on top of that. However, the cake fight lightened everything up and really made my night!!! It was so hot and sweaty that we weren't going to eat it anyway, so why not throw it at each other???

Take a look at the pics, funny before and after huh???

Hi my loves,
I have noticed that a lot of you have been wondering how I do my makeup. I am not a big fan of heavy makeup so the majority of the time I do my own. I stick to the basics of face powder, bronzer and blush.  Over the years I have learned how to do my own makeup because we don't have a makeup artist for the show. Here is a little look at my daily routine.

I start by mixing Fresh High Noon tinted moisturizer with the Fresh Soy Face Cream to get a nice base with a little sunkissed glow.  Then I dust Bare Minerals Powder with SPF 15 to even out my skin.  Next I bronze with Guerlain Number One for Blondes on my cheeks, hairline and jawline. Then I brush a little bit of NARS Orgasm Blush on my cheekbones, a little on my forehead, nose, and chin to keep it constant.

Hi everyone. I wanted to post these pics a few days ago but I've been soooo busy with Fashion Week that I haven't had the time.  The MTV VMAs were amazing this year and I was so happy that they were in the city.

There might have been some drama but that definitely didn't spoil the show for me haha.  The performances were incredible, and I especially loved Pink's.  Her trapeze act was insane!!!  It's awesome that she was able to perform like that.

Anyway, I just wanted to share these photos from the awards, as well as the InTouch after party.  What was your favorite part of the VMAs?

These photos came from Getty Images.

Hi guys!  Fashion Week has been unbelievable and my show was definitely the highlight for me :) I devoted every ounce of my being to the planning of it and there's no greater feeling than seeing all of your hard work pay off! It was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

Since you all couldn't be there to share it with me, I wanted to give you the chance to see the show for yourself.  Watch the video above for a quick glimpse of Whitney Eve on the runway!

xoxo,
Whit

P.S. Did you guys see the pics I posted yesterday from the show???

Yesterday was probably the most nerve-wracking yet thrilling day of my life!!!  I had my first ever fashion show for my clothing line, Whitney Eve, not to mention that it was during New York Fashion Week!  I swear I couldn't breathe from the time I started preparing for the show until the last model walked.

My entire family and all of my friends came in for the show and I feel so blessed to have such an incredible support system always behind me!

Thank you so much to everyone who helped to make my dream a reality.  I'm still on cloud nine haha.  I am so truly grateful for the opportunities I've been given and I could never have done any of this without you guys.

Click through the gallery to see some of the pics from the show!!!

Today is a HUGE day for me! The Whitney Eve Spring 2010 line is debuting on the runway at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week!!!!!!!

I've devoted all of my time to preparing for this moment and I can't believe it's finally here.  I'm so grateful to have been given this incredible opportunity and I truly feel like the luckiest girl in the world!!!

The show is this afternoon and I'm both nervous and excited, but mostly excited :)  Wish me luck everyone!!!!!!!

Hi my dears!!!  I recently sat down with OK! Magazine to discuss my clothing line, Whitney Eve. My line is the major focus in my life right now, my true love, so I never get sick of talking about it!  LOL.

I included the entire feature in the gallery so click through to read the interview and see some of the pieces.

I have a lot of exciting stuff coming up with the line so be sure to keep checking my site for details and exclusive photos!

xoxo,
Whit

Hi guys!!! I had the BEST time shopping with Mary Ann, the winner of my JCPenney Back to School Shopping Spree.  We picked out her perfect first-day outfit, as well as a dress for homecoming -- she looked amazing in everything she put on.

While we shopped, Mary Ann told me more about Chinelas, the outreach program she started in the Philippines to provide young children with slippers so they don't have to walk to school barefoot.  It's so inspiring to see someone at such a young age realizing the importance of helping others.

All in all, the shopping spree was definitely a success!!! JCPenney had great stuff for really reasonable prices, so by the end, Mary Ann definitely walked out with her hands full.

Watch the video and see Mary Ann get schooled in style at JCPenney!!!   She was a very fun shopping buddy :)

What are your favorite back to school shopping memories???

Whit

Last night I went to the Louis Vuitton event at the Museum of Natural History in NYC.  The party was in honor of the 40th anniversary of the first lunar landing!

It was soooo much fun!!! The Museum of Natural History was so gorgeous and right off Central Park West. I went with me best friend Andrea. You can see a pic in the gallery of us leaving the event in a cab.

I was so amazed by how unique and extravagant fashion is in this city!!! It's so inspiring.

P.S. What do you guys think of my hair?  I usually wear it down but decided to go with something different last night :)

Hi my loves!!!  Just wanted to share this fashion piece from last week's issue of Life & Style Magazine.  Designer Isaac Mizrahi answered questions on how to solve fashion dilemmas and used me as an example for keeping summer florals youthful!

What's your favorite summer style?

Women's Health Magazine did a fashion feature on me in this month's issue about how I spice up my day to day outfit choices.  You'll rarely see me dressed head to toe in black; I'm all about the colorful wardrobe...maybe it's the Cali in me!

I don't know about you guys, but what I wear has a huge effect on my mood, so if I'm wearing a fun, vibrant outfit I definitely feel more energetic and confident!

Read the entire article in this month's issue of Women's Health, on newsstands now!

What's your signature wardrobe color???

Last night I attended the CFDA Fashion awards in New York.  I went with Raul Melgoza who is the designer for LUCA LUCA.  I was just so excited to have the honor of going and with such an unbelievable designer!

I've been going to a lot of events and award shows lately, but the ones based around fashion are my absolute favorite!!!!  The highlight of last night's show for me was seeing Alexander Wang win the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award which is worth $200,000!  I LOVE him!!!

All in all it was an amazing and inspiring night!

What do you guys think of my hairstyle?  It's definitely a change from the usual...should I wear it like this more often?

Hi everyone!  Just wanted to share this new top style for the Whitney Eve Holiday 2009 line!!!  The pics were taken at my pattern maker Margaret's studio in downtown LA while I was home for the MTV Movie Awards this past week.

It's a fun, flirty and comfortable top to wear in a knit for a more casual vibe, while the glitzy print makes it work for the festive holiday look as well.

What do you guys think of the top???  I would love to get your feedback!

Hey everyone, I am working on decorating my apartment!!! As some of you may have seen on The City my couch is very bright and not super comfortable... Does anyone have any good ideas of where I can get a really comfy couch in NYC???

I always love to switch things up in my apartment and would really appreciate recommendations of where to shop.  Below are some pics of my new striped rug as well as the rest of my apartment...I am looking for a comfortable new couch and table that will match well.  Also, any other interior design tips for me?

Here's a pic I just took on my phone while walking to Fox Fabrics for our holiday sample ordering!!!!!!!

What do you guys think of the new 'do???  Love it or hate it?  It's SO hot in NYC right now I had to get it out of my face somehow haha :)

Hey! So here is the look book for my fall '09 collection!!! We shot it at the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica, and though I wanted a New York vibe, we did the best we could considering the samples were finished basically the day before the shoot!!!

I think the collection reflects my fresh New York angle mixed with my easy, comfortable aesthetic of Los Angeles. The collection is fresh, fun, flirty and sophisticated! Or at least I'd like to think it is :)

Enjoy taking a look and let me know your favorites!!! xxxxx

Check out these pics from my Whitney Eve Summer Line fitting yesterday.  My brother Ryan and I went to make sure everything was going smoothly and I'm so excited for you guys to see the final results this summer!!!

Watch this video to get a little sneak peek at some of the pieces from the Whitney Eve Fall collection.

Hope you enjoyed my little tour of the Whitney Eve Project trade show booth!  Don't forget to check back later for more exclusive videos and photos from Vegas!!!
I filmed this video yesterday just after my parents, my sister and I left our house to head to the Project trade show in Vegas.  Sorry for the delay in posting this, I was just able to get on the computer for the first time since I got here!  Soooooo busy....

Keep on eye out for more videos and photos from Project!

Hey guys.  I shot this video last night after I finished taping the Jimmy Kimmel Live show.  I just wanted to fill you in on what I would be doing over the next few days, as well as provide you with a few more details about my line, Whitney Eve.

Over the weekend I did a photo shoot for the look book for the Whitney Eve Fall/Holiday line.  I took a few photos on my phone so that you guys could have a little preview of what's to come.  It's definitely different from my Spring line, but I was going for an entirely new style for the season.

I'm sorry if the pics are a little blurry -- I'll definitely be posting some better photos at a later time!

I hope you like these though and I would LOVE to hear what you think!!!

What are some of your New Year's resolutions???

xoxo
Whit

All of these pics came from Monday night's episode on THECITY.MTV.COM.

A lot of you have been asking me about where I get my clothing and what I was wearing in some of the episodes of The Hills, so I wanted to give you a little info about some of my outfits from the premiere of The City.

In the first scene, I was wearing a yellow vintage dress from a store called Scout in Los Angeles.  I absolutely love that dress and I thought it was perfect for my first day at my new job!

When Jay and I had our first date, I was wearing an above the knee, navy Opening Ceremony dress. This dress reminds me of how beautiful the weather was when I first moved there. I truly think New York is the best place to be when its warm.

For the fashion show (one of the CRAZIEST days of my life), I was obviously wearing Diane Von Furstenberg!  The headbands were my favorite part of the fashion show, seeing as I wore one to The Hills finale event.

In the scene where I asked Jay to come with me to Olivia's dinner party, I was wearing a Quail tank and Kill City jeans -- a cute, casual outfit to wear during the daytime.

When I had lunch with Alex for that dreaded conversation, I was wearing a Johnson Romper dress, London Sole flats, and I was carrying an H&M bag.

In the last scene when I went to talk to Kelly at People's Revolution, I wore an Alice McCall dress, a Sass and Bide jacket (one of my favorites) and London Sole shoes.

I hope that I answered some of your questions -- if there were any outfits I missed, let me know!

All of these pics came from Monday night's episode on THECITY.MTV.COM.

Don't forget to tune in to The Hills finale tonight, and the premiere of my new show The City on December 29th.

Feel free to leave more questions and I'll try to answer as many as possible!

I know I talked about the scarves the other day, but I'm just so excited about them and I really think you would all love them! Watch this video to hear more about the project.

I included some photos of my sisters and me wearing the scarves, as well as some others.

Click HERE to check out the Urban Village E-store.

Hey guys!  Check out who's on this Sunday's cover of the NY Post's Page Six Magazine -- ME!!!  To be perfectly honest, I find this so surreal.  I feel flattered yet scared at the same time that I have such huge shoes to fill!!!  The style and glamour of Sex and the City is incomparable and to have them tout me as the "new Carrie Bradshaw" is just too awesome for words.  Nothing can ever top that show but the possibility that The City could be the new generation in the same kind of world... well that is just so cool!

Be sure to pick up a copy when it hits news stands this Sunday!
You guys have already seen photos of the Whitney Eve Spring 2009 collection, so I thought you might like to know a little bit about the theme of the line and the inspiration behind my designs!

Watch this video and get all the details!

A few days ago I met with my MARVELOUS pattern maker Margaret. We are working on 10 additional pieces for the Whitney Eve Summer 2009 and Fall/ Holiday 2009 collections. I have played a lot with incorporating menswear into feminine pieces -- adding lace, ruffles and bows make the pieces powerful yet girly at the same time!

I'll keep all of you up to date on the collections' progress.

I know a lot of you have been asking where you can purchase items from my Spring 2009 line so I just wanted to let all of you know that beginning in January or February, the clothing will become available worldwide online through the Whitney Eve online store which I will provide a link to on this site, so keep an eye out!!!

As for the Fall/Holiday 2008 line -- the clothing is being shipped to various Nordstroms this week and the items will be in their stores before the Holidays!  I hope you all get the chance to stop by a Nordstrom and check out my collection.  If you do, please let me know what you think!

I've included photos from the Whitney Eve Spring 2009 look book, so I hope you like them!

In this month's issue of Seventeen Magazine, Lauren, Lo, and I were interviewed about fashion and our personal styles!  Here's a clip from the article where I'm asked about my fashion weaknesses and the current trends that I personally dislike.

I would love to hear what all of your fashion weaknesses are!

Last night was the Whitney Eve Spring 2009 Collection Trunk Show where I was able to show off my newest designs!  It was so amazing to be able to share the final product of all of my hard work.  I felt very fortunate to have my closest family and friends there to support me -- all in all it was a very exciting night!

I took a few photos of the event to share with you and I also included a copy of the invitation I sent out -- I hope you like them!

Be sure to check out the pics of me and my younger sisters Jade and Paige!  Do you think we look alike???

Hey guys!! Thank you so much for taking interest in my clothing line, Whitney Eve.  I have devoted much time and most importantly, love, to this project and I hope you enjoy looking at the spring pieces as much as I have enjoyed creating them!  You can see the entire Spring line by clicking through the gallery!  xo
