Tickets are on sale for “Simply Stylist,” a day of discount shopping, learning and networking with style experts scheduled for March 23 in Los Angeles.

Panelists Brad Goreski of “It’s a Brad, Brad World,” designer Whitney Port, Louise Roe of “Fashion Star,” fashion journalist Melissa Magsaysay and blogger Aimee Song are scheduled to discuss fashion. Members of a beauty panel are to include stylist Scotty Cunha, beauty expert Tracy O’Connor, editor Susan Yara, entrepreneur Suzie Kim and blogger Natalie Alcala.

“Simply Stylist” is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. March 23 at Siren Studios, 6063 W. Sunset Blvd., Hollywood. Tickets range from $20 to attend a private designer shopping event only to $175 for shopping and one of the panels or up to $300 for a VIP package. The Monica Chiang boutique on Robertson Boulevard in Los Angeles is hosting a book-signing party for Rebecca Dana celebrating her new book “Jujitsu Rabbi and the Godless Blonde: A True Story” from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight (Wednesday). Light bites and prosecco will be served and shoppers will be offered 20% off their purchases during the event. The boutique is at 108 S. Robertson Blvd.

In honor of International Women’s Day, Rebecca Taylor and L.A. Closet Design are teaming up for a special event Thursday to benefit Women for Women International. Host Lisa Adams of L.A. Closet Design and special guest Whitney Port will offer organization and wardrobe tips, and guests may enjoy Champagne, light bites and music while shopping Rebecca Taylor’s spring collection. Twenty percent of proceeds from the evening’s sales are earmarked for Women for Women International, a nonprofit organization that aids women in war-torn regions, and every purchase will be entered to win a $500 gift basket from L.A. Leandra Medine of the Man Repeller style blog is on a tour to promote her new women’s clothing collaboration with PJK (a.k.a. Patterson J. Kincaid, the line founded by Santa Barbara native Chelsey Santry). She’ll be toasted on Thursday at a party at the Bloomingdale’s in NYC’s SoHo from 6 to 8 p.m., then will make her way across country to Neiman Marcus, Beverly Hills, to show off the collection from 5 to 7 p.m. March 20. At Neiman Marcus, Medine will style day-to-evening looks, date night inspirations and more.
