WHITNEY EVE SPRING COLLECTION, 2009

Recently in Shopping Category

Hi sweets! With this sentiment comes my effort to help Rwandan women create an economy for themselves so that they can provide for their families and maintain any sort of life at all.

The women in Rwanda have formed a coalition called The Urban Village for which they arrive at a workplace every day and create items that can be sold here in the US.  Their most recent project has been these silk/mohair scarves that are perfect for the upcoming winter chill and also make amazing gifts!!! 100% of the proceeds go back to these women to help in sustaining their families' health, affording them enough to provide food, providing them with so much purpose and stabilizing a working economy.

Let's give back this season! For $60 you can choose between an emerald green, purple or heather grey luscious scarf!

Hi guys.  I hope you all enjoyed the JCPenney Back to School Fashion video documenting Mary Ann's and my JCP shopping spree!!!

Everyone wants to look their best when the new school year kicks off, so I thought it would be fun to give some back to school fashion tips.

Watch the video above to find out my picks for back to school wardrobe essentials this fall!

xoxo,
Whit

Hi guys!!! I had the BEST time shopping with Mary Ann, the winner of my JCPenney Back to School Shopping Spree.  We picked out her perfect first-day outfit, as well as a dress for homecoming -- she looked amazing in everything she put on.

While we shopped, Mary Ann told me more about Chinelas, the outreach program she started in the Philippines to provide young children with slippers so they don't have to walk to school barefoot.  It's so inspiring to see someone at such a young age realizing the importance of helping others.

All in all, the shopping spree was definitely a success!!! JCPenney had great stuff for really reasonable prices, so by the end, Mary Ann definitely walked out with her hands full.

Watch the video and see Mary Ann get schooled in style at JCPenney!!!   She was a very fun shopping buddy :)

What are your favorite back to school shopping memories???

xoxo,
Whit

Hey guys.  So I noticed in your comments that there have been a lot of questions regarding where you can purchase from my Whitney Eve clothing line.

While the Whitney Eve online store is not yet open, a number of pieces are available on shop.seenon.com.  In the coming weeks, there will be many more styles available at a wider array of prices.

So check out that site and I'll be sure to let you know as soon as my line's online store opens!

xoxo, Whitney

A lot of you have been asking me about where I get my clothing and what I was wearing in some of the episodes of The Hills, so I wanted to give you a little info about some of my outfits from the premiere of The City.

In the first scene, I was wearing a yellow vintage dress from a store called Scout in Los Angeles.  I absolutely love that dress and I thought it was perfect for my first day at my new job!

When Jay and I had our first date, I was wearing an above the knee, navy Opening Ceremony dress. This dress reminds me of how beautiful the weather was when I first moved there. I truly think New York is the best place to be when its warm.

For the fashion show (one of the CRAZIEST days of my life), I was obviously wearing Diane Von Furstenberg!  The headbands were my favorite part of the fashion show, seeing as I wore one to The Hills finale event.

In the scene where I asked Jay to come with me to Olivia's dinner party, I was wearing a Quail tank and Kill City jeans -- a cute, casual outfit to wear during the daytime.

When I had lunch with Alex for that dreaded conversation, I was wearing a Johnson Romper dress, London Sole flats, and I was carrying an H&M bag.

In the last scene when I went to talk to Kelly at People's Revolution, I wore an Alice McCall dress, a Sass and Bide jacket (one of my favorites) and London Sole shoes.

I hope that I answered some of your questions -- if there were any outfits I missed, let me know!

All of these pics came from Monday night's episode on THECITY.MTV.COM.

I know I talked about the scarves the other day, but I'm just so excited about them and I really think you would all love them! Watch this video to hear more about the project.

I included some photos of my sisters and me wearing the scarves, as well as some others.

Hi guys!  I just wanted tell all of you a little bit about recent Whitney Eve endeavor I've put a lot of time into.

The Urban Village scarves is a project I have been working on for months. I partnered with them to develop a product that women of Rwanda would hand-make for this holiday season. This process allowed the women to not only have careers, but help in creating a sustainable economy in their villages as well.  All the proceeds go to these very women so they can live a healthy life and be able to provide such things as health insurance for their families -- something we all take for granted.

The scarves are now being sold online at the Urban Village e-store.  Click HERE to have look!
