Tonight I am going to a charity event for Women In Need. I have been so touched by this organization and wanted to tell you all a little bit about it. Since 1983, WIN has provided homeless women and their families with safe and clean housing in NYC.  In addition to shelter, WIN provides these women and their kids with job training, childcare, and supportive counseling, just to name a few.  When I first went on their website and read some of these facts that appear across the screen I was shocked… 80% of the homeless in NYC are women and children… Tonight 37,000 people will sleep in shelters.
