Hi guys!! My best friend's brother Nick who was on last night's episode of The
City, manages the band AWESOME NEW REPUBLIC. Last night they played at Cinespace and I was so excited I got to see them play in LA.
I ran into an old friend from Warner Avenue elementary school, Mark Hunter, who some of you may know as The Cobra Snake! He is an awesome photographer and was taking pictures the whole night! Check out his site to take a look at the concert and be sure to download some ANR music on iTunes!!
Hi sweets! Every week that goes by, I find myself saying that each new episode is my favorite! I thought that last week's episode would be hard to beat but this week there is even MORE drama! Yikes!!!!!
Tune in to MTV tonight at 10:30pm for an all new episode of The City. Can't wait to hear what you all think!! And in case you have missed any episodes be sure to check out MTV's City page for full episodes and recaps!
Hi sweets! With this sentiment comes my effort to help Rwandan women create an economy for themselves so that they can provide for their families and maintain any sort of life at all.
The women in Rwanda have formed a coalition called The Urban Village for which they arrive at a workplace every day and create items that can be sold here in the US. Their most recent project has been these silk/mohair scarves that are perfect for the upcoming winter chill and also make amazing gifts!!! 100% of the proceeds go back to these women to help in sustaining their families' health, affording them enough to provide food, providing them with so much purpose and stabilizing a working economy.
Let's give back this season! For $60 you can choose between an emerald green, purple or heather grey luscious scarf!
I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Although I had a fun-filled
weekend with my family and best friends, I was really taken aback by
the movie Precious. While I am so unbelievably thankful that a film
like this was produced in order to open our eyes to the harsh
realities of life, it saddened me to think that millions of lives
parallel this horrible story and moreover that so little is being done
about it.
I want to make a vow to myself and others to try my hardest
to not only be aware of such tragedy but help directly with those who
struggle so deeply. I will soon be back in New York and want to
dedicate time to those like Precious. Where can I begin?
Take a look
at the trailer and maybe even try to go see the movie to understand
what I'm talking about!
