Hey guys,
After I did my recenter winter makeup post, I asked my makeup artist, Phoebe Ogan, to provide a step-by-step guide on how to achieve that fresh faced winter look with a few affordable product suggestions. Check out her how-to below. xoxo, Whit
Clean and fresh Winter Makeup
Remember it’s all about keeping the skin clean and fresh, the eyes natural and awake and the lips bold and fun.
Skin: After prepping skin with moisturizer, use a BB cream, tinted moisturizer or light foundation to even out skin tone with your fingers. You can also just spot conceal in the areas needed. Only use a small amount of powder to set if you are oily. Remember less is more!
Try: Loreal Magic BB cream or Maybelline Dream Nude Airfoam Foundation
Brows: Brush the brows and fill in with powder or a pencil. Use clear brow gel to set. Strong natural brows are beautiful so only pluck the strays and fill in where the hair is sparse.
Try: Maybelline Define A Brow
Eyes: Apply a generous coat of your favorite mascara and leave the lids clean, or try a completely naked eye. It’s up to you. For a more glam look apply a shimmery cream shadow to the lid with your finger. Don’t forget to curl your lashes!!!
Try: CoverGirl LashBlast Mascara
Cheeks: Apply a small amount of cream or powder to apples of cheeks for a sweet blushed look. Make sure the tone compliments the lip color.
Try: Revlon Cream Blush
Lips: Choose a bright or dark fun color to pop and pull the look together. It can be matte or glossy. Just moisturize your lips first and blot the color with a tissue.
Try: Loreal Color Caresse Shine Stain or Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede Lipstick
