FACE Africa Gala in Boston

Hi my dears,
As you all know I was in Boston this past weekend for the second annual FACE Africa Clean Water Gala with my parents and Paige. It has taken me a few days to gather and focus my thoughts and I am finally ready to share with you all what I experienced! It was truly one of the most amazing nights of my life. The cause and the people left me with a feeling that is so hard for me to describe. Never in my life have I met such amazing and proactive people. To each and every person that I met this weekend, thank you for coming into my life. I hope that at some point soon we will all see a better and brighter future for the women, men and children in Liberia .

I would like to give a few special shout outs!

Saran! What an event you threw! I am so appreciative and thankful that you found me on Twitter! I am beyond impressed with all that you have accomplished and I can’t wait for what is ahead! Get some sleep!
Marcus Samuelson, it was such an honor to meet you! I have been a fan of your cooking for years and am now even more in awe of you and the amazing charity work you do. I can’t wait to try your restaurant in Harlem soon!
Rennie, Joan, and Matt- My family and I could not have asked for a better table. I am excited for you and the trip you are about to take. You all opened my eyes and shared so much wisdom with me! Thank you!
Cam Lin- for the amazing video your team edited for the event! I know it was hard to put it all together, but the finished product was a masterpiece! Brought me to tears again!
Arthur- You are without a doubt the most fascinating person I probably have ever met. I am in awe of everything that you do! Time to have a little fun, see you in Vegas soon!

My list could go on and on! I have decided that each week I am going to spend some time on my blog and devote it to charity work. I can’t wait to fill you in on everything I have learned and experienced thus far with FACE Africa . Education is power!

xoxo,
Whit
