Whitney Port is not just another pretty face in Hollywood. She has paved her own way as a designer, TV host and author, and is making sure that she builds a solid foundation that she is proud of.
Whitney began her career on the MTV reality-hit show, “The Hills,” appearing as an intern at Teen Vogue Magazine, as well as Lauren Conrad’s co-worker and confidant. By Season 4 she was a show regular and an audience favorite. In December 2008 Whitney’s own spin-off, “The City” launched on MTV. She moved across the country and the cameras followed her as she began working for fashion icon Diane Von Furstenberg and in later seasons for People’s Revolution’s Kelly Cutrone. During that time she also launched her own fashion line, Whitney Eve.
Whitney Eve, which is celebrating a successful 6 seasons, showcases Whitney’s creativity and knack for style. Whitney designs custom prints for each season’s sophisticated yet comfortable attire, featuring feminine dresses, tops, skirts, sweaters and jackets. Whitney debuted her first runway show for Whitney Eve during New York Fashion week in September 2011 to rave reviews and showed her Fall 2012 collection in the tents again in the Spring of 2012. In addition, she recently debuted a line of jewelry called Bits and Bobs by Whitney Eve and the second collection will launch this Holiday.
In summer of 2012 Whitney joined the cast of Britain and Irelands Next Top Model alongside Elle MacPherson, Tyson Beckford and Julien McDonald. Whitney was a judge on the show which that year received the best ratings of any other season.
In 2010 Whitney released her first book, “True Whit” for Harper Collins. The book is now being sold overseas and in the US.
