One of my family’s good friends, Barney Saltzberg, just came out with another one of his amazing children’s books. Ever since Paigey met his daughter, Lily, in the 6th grade, I have had the chance to get to know Barney and see his passion for kids, music, teaching, and embracing your youth. Barney’s new book, Beautiful Oops, is just what our society needs! It teaches us to embrace our mistakes and turn them into our advantage. Hooray for mistakes!!!! Whether you are 5, 15, or 50, this book is a must read! The book is filled with pop-ups, lift-the-flaps, tears, holes, overlays, bends, smudges, and even an incredible accordion “telescope”–each one demonstrating the magical transformation from a blunder to a discovery moment.
It’s OK to make a mistake! Don’t run from the oopses in your life — celebrate them!
Love this pic of Barney with Jamie Lee Curtis — she wrote a little something for the book’s cover. To order a copy of Beautiful Oops go to www.amazon.com or watch this YouTube video for a closer look :)
