While my family was in NYC for the finale of The Hills, we were taking the subway to Union Square and we came across this amazing jazz-type ensemble playing underground. They are called the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble.
My family and I enjoyed their music so much and I thought some of you might as well. Check them out on their MySpace page, they are so fun to listen to!!!

They’re fun – yay for new music to listen to at work! For some artists that don’t get US radio play, or at least not out here in CA, some of my faves are Neverending White Lights, David Usher, and The Trews.

I saw them as well! I was just talking with my friend about them today! I’m so glad you mentioned their name because I haven’t seen them at Union Square since about a week or so ago when I first heard them.
Also check out the website for the feature length documentary about the band coming in late 2010. They are all blood brothers and their father is a famous jazz musician who had 25 children!!!
They will be featured the new Gorillaz album alongside Snoop and Mos Def.
