I just finished reading Lauren's book L.A. Candy and I absolutely loved
it!!! It was an ideal summer read and it was so fun to see how our
lives were re-imagined on paper. Of all the book's characters, the
protagonist Jane was the truest to real life in my opinion. She was
very Lauren!
As a former cast member of the Hills, I could truly feel everything Jane was going through, since the book was based on Lauren's experiences as a reality star. Everything was just so familiar.
Lauren is a wonderful writer...so fun and breezy! I finished the book in a week...maybe even less. I'm SO proud of her and I can't wait to read her next book!!!!
P.S. I love how in the magazine clip above it says I was trying to hide what I was reading but it says "Lauren Conrad" in huge letters on the spine!!! LOL.

I loved it too!!!! I finshed in in like 2-3 days. I couldn't put it down! The characters felt so real to me, especially Jane Roberts! I'm sure the character of Hannah was based on you! :-)
I can't wait till the next one comes out.
Oh, btw, I too removed the cover while reading it because it kept bothering me, so I don't see the harm in what you did!
P.S. The City Season One comes out on DVD today! But, there isn't any info on bonus features. Will the dvd have any (such as deleted/extended scenes, interviews, trailers, etc)?

And whenever I read a hardcover book, I take the dust jacket off...I don't want to bend it!
The book sounds great, I'll have to pick it up! I don't know about you, but I always take book jackets off because they're just so bothersome. It's crazy what the media will spin things into.

OMG....I'm reading it right now too :) It's quite addicting..and definitely an easy poolside read. It was perfect when I was in Vegas. It's really interesting to read about what you girls went through while filming The Hills. It's definitely a good way for us to see an inside look to your lives! I'm almost done reading it..and can't wait for the second! Oh..but I also can't wait for the second season of The City :)

OMG! I got the book,too! It's so cool that I, as a reader, can imagine how life is behind the scene. I looked every episode of the hills. damn.. the german mtv doesn't present the city anymore.
L.A. Candy is a big success and I love to read it. So excited to read the second book.
