I LOVE the skirt! But the dress is a little too light for "holiday" season for me. I am very into fashion and knowing me, would stay away from that color. Almost close to the "don't wear white after Labor Day" rule. Is it form fitting or loose, too? I do think the style is cute & original, though!

The vertical ruffles remind me of my wedding dress I just bought! I think it is a cool twist on a classic style. The lace and ruffles really make it flirty, feminine and fun. I love it and am sure the finished product will look gorgeous!
The dress is to die for! I love the detail on the bottom, the material and the color! I like the skrit to, I love polka dots. I am not wild about the tie on the bottom but I think I might if I actually tried it on. Both are very chic though!
I like the lace whitney, I think the colour is quirky and a bit different and reflects your sense of style its not too matchy matchy and thats why I think I would buy it!! Love it, I live in the UK, but visit the US often, I would love to know if and where your clothes are available in stores?? As I don't have a US address to shop online!!

I can see the dress could come out really nicely but the finishing touches are not great from the collar to the bottom that lack consistency with the dress and finishing touches, it's like something is missing. For the bottom I would have stayed in the same color tone, as well for the collar.

Very pretty colors but those dents in the fabric right above the ruffles are not attractive. White ruffles are romantic and delicate - remind me of France.
I take the dress comment back, the dress could work nicely, but i'd lose the lace panel and keep it simple, there's already too much going on and the lace panel makes it look like grandma is trying to be hip in her old flapper dress. Much sexier with the open deep v neckline.

The dress looks great, I am not sure how it fits on but it would be probably be good for someone flat chested and thin.
Now the skirt. To be honest, I think you had a good idea and thought but I just don't know how that would look on someone, and how flattering it would be. Even on some one very think I just don't see it looking good. I think if you could make the bottom not cut and just accent the butt parts.
Obviously you are the one with all the knowledge and experience but these are just my opinions.

The "don't wear white after Labor Day" rule is pretty much non-existent anymore. In fact, wearing white during the winter is very acceptable. The term referred to this style is "Winter White." It's just a matter of wearing the right fabrics...
And to Whitney:
The skirt is cute. I could never wear it because I have a large butt for such a little frame... And the dress needs tweaking. I adore the soft colors for the winter, but the ruffles look a little cheap and discolored. I'd go with the same color as the dress for the ruffles or maybe even a darker color.
Love the skirt but the white chiffon/lace on the dress looks a bit cheap. It would look much better if the colour co-ordinated with the dress as it's a lovely colour.

I think they're both really good but for the dress it looks like the sides aren't really there, that they may tear to easily then people would stop buying it... sorry if this seems rude - constructive criticism sucks sometimes. However, I want the skirt ASAP! The Dress is still really good!! I'm just wondering if it will rip easily.

PINK DRESS: Too much is going on. lace on top, satin material and hanging material on the bottom? lol..and it's all pink? Ahh, looks like 80's prom dress from hell!
SKIRT: cute concept, it's just the bow on the bottom killed it...i think that gears towards the 5th grade with that idea.
I hope you dont think that was too harsh because I admire your work and I wouldn't want you to proceed with something that can alter your line.
SKIRT: I think it is beautiful, but I also think that you need to have an spectacular body, spectacular thin and large legs to wear it. I don't think it would suit very well to the usual type of girl

With the dress, I'd definitely make it a different color. There's something about it that makes it look off. The skirt is totally cute, being a fashion major I'd definitely do this. I agree with what someone said up there about having both the knot and the bow in the back... how bout the knot in the front? kinda hard with the bow, but a knot might look cute up there.
I love the skirt. The dress is real cute but it doesn't scream holiday at all. I don't know if its the color...or the sleeveless? In Minnesota, we have cold cold winters and wouldn't be able to wear that.

I think the pink dress is very cute with a classy unique look. The ruffles r very cute too. I really love the skirt with the bow and polka dots. I also really like the idea of that for the holiday because it is something that is dressy enough, adorable, and NOT red, white, or black.

The skirt is absolutely stunning. I think it displays a sense of high fashion, as well as a more traditional look from earlier times. I also think it can be used in a casual look, or a more dressed up look, while combining other colors to bring out the polka dots and satin look.
The dress looks great, but I think it may need to be taken in under the arms a bit. It seems that the dress would look better in a more fitted appearance. I actually like the dark lace because it breaks up the light satin and the lighter ruffles. The color scheme looks great, but the fit is hard to tell from the photos.

I adore the dress!!! I can really see it for day or night. The skirt...I'd have to see it on a person and with a top, I like it but there are plenty of clothes that I've liked and ended up looking horrible on me.
The dress is beautiful. I like the contrast of the lace (color and texture). I worry about the fit, as it looks like a straight cut down the sides. May need a little contour. I know it is a sample, but I also worry about the sowing at the top of each ruffle. Make sure they dart it flat so it doesn't look messy. The skirt is super fun.
I love the structure of the skirt, and dots are absolutely back in. I'm intrigued by the knot on the skirt, but I question the functionality of the placement of the knot. I would love to rock that skirt at work, but I think that sitting on the knot all day -- or even though a dinner -- would be terrible, plus it would probably leave a red mark on my thigh after sitting and then standing up; not attractive.

I really love the skirt. Not so much loving the dress. Something is off about the fabric that was chosen for the ruffles, also the pleating detail at the bottom puckers in a weird way.
This dress is adorable. I love the nude lace, it makes the dress look so innocent with the pale pink. I know ruffles are in, so I am getting past the white chiffonlike ruffles, but I am not a HUGE fan of rouged seaming where they are attached.
Hey Whit. So for the pink lacy dress. i love the dress but there is one thing i would maybe alter or change- the lace at the chest up the collar bone. i think its a little too much. I would maybe not make it go so high or make it a lighter color. :) Otherwise, i love it.

Love the bow and how the bow use the exact fabric of the skirt. Love the high waist, and side knot. Would also like to see it in a solid bright color, like turqoise or even orange.

Love the black skirt... hate the pink dress.. the whole 50's mermaid thing kinda needs to go. The buttom of the dress with the ruffles is way too much and the lace v-neck under is way too high. maybe if it was just a little lace boarding the v-neck would be nice. Also the back is way to boring. needs a little something. Carry the v-neck front to the back and have it low. witht he lace boarding the v-neck in front and back would look beautiful.
its too young looking... prob something some little girl would wear to her 8th grade graduation... sex it up a bit!
I like the detail of the skirt. I think you would be better off replacing the lace or getting rid or it all together. It takes away from the overall look. I always go by-"keep it simple stupid" the best things come from it.
Honestly, I think the hanging material looks a little cheap and the lace a little mis match...sorry. Maybe something a closer colour match to main fabric? x
I love it. I think the colour of the dress is perfect for new years..it's kind of different from all the black we see. I do think the colour of the lace around the neck doesn't really match the colour of the ruffles on the bottom.
The skirt is amazing, perfect just like that. I would totally wear both and I think a lot of girls/woman will like it just like that, with that skirt all you need is a nice shirt and pretty shoes and you're done.

this is very beautiful piece i just think the back is very boxy. the front of the dress is designed to fit someone with a chest, but the back isn't designed to fit someone with any butt! i think with the fabric used, that's a difficult shape to wear.
these are so flirty and girly, i LOVE them. The skirt is my favourite though, with a cute top sore gladiator sandals and a pair of pearl earings and ur set to look amazing.

I really like both. But the fabric for the dress puckers a little to much at the top of the ruffles, i worry it was pull when hanging when someone wears it. and the only thing i would change about the skirt is to have the bow at the hem a shorter bow like the one at the waist. But thats just my opinion.

The Dress it not what you'd expect for a holiday line, which is whats so beautiful about it. The lace at the top makes it interesting and, yes it is dark- But is that really a bad thing? Why not add a splash of a darker brown hue near the bottom, to balance out the color distribution of the piece. Perhaps a layer of dark ruffle added to the cream?

I'm loving the polka dot skirt. I think the shape/cut will look good on a lot of girls and the 2 pieces sampled above reflect some of your personal style but were designed in a way that will appeal to many many many girls!
i love the light pink with the white on the first dress and the ribbon detail on the shirt. But honestly, on the dress, I don't like to see the stitching above the white ruffles or the dimples above that. Also, on the skirt, does it give good shape? It might look blousy on people's hips and thighs. But if it gives a sleek look then I think you've definitely got something here. Love to see what other colors you choose for this. Thanks!

So far I'm loving the pieces. The skirt is absolutely adorable..would look great with a simple collared top, maybe a bit loose, adding contrast since the skirt is so girly. The dress is fabulous..Although some argue that the lace is up too high, I like that. The dress is a V cut, so it's more sexy, and the lace cut high adds a more conservative touch, making the perfect balance. The ruffles are very flirty..overall great pieces. I hope to see more 20's-50's inspired pieces and bring back a wave of fashion from the past!!!

I love the skirt from all aspects. The dress is gorgeous as well but I am also not a big fan of the lace. I would consider either a champagne color, lowering the neckline a tad, or removing it completely. Have you thought of adding lace detail along the v-neck line instead of underneath as a layer? Also, I like the bottom of the dress, have you consider maybe making that a darker color as well (possibly a darker nude of some sort or even a pearl or off white)? Great work thus far. I can't wait to see the finished products.

But, I'm totally aware that it is a difficult business ! I'm currently studying for a degree in psychology but I also do work experience at various fashion companies in London. Honestly, it's cute. But it's not innovative... Seen that curvey fringe detailing about a bazillion times. Champagne and peach are both out. Very FW '08. The shiney material looks sort of cheap. Get it together girl!

The skirt: I absolutely L-O-V-E the skirt. It will fit all kind of body shapes.
The dress: maybe the picture is the problem, but the dress look like it need more work, especially at the sowing aspect. I'm sure you will fix that…

There are just two things I don't like,the ruffles, I'd like them in the same color as the dress, and the dots, I'd like it if the skirt was one color, or just another patern (don't really like dots).

a) it looks like the skirt would be hard to walk in;
b) the skirt looks a little "dumpy" - i would stick to one bow: two detracts from the bows cute detail and your eye does not know where to go;
c) it looks like the skirt would not work if either bows were missing: like each needs the other to make the design work. the smaller hem-bow works to make the dress less formal and the top-bow legitimizes the hem-bow's casualness...are either necessary? the bow may be overplayed too. plus, there may be jokes during the christmas season about the garment wearer being a present themselves.
the skirt looks good not sure about the tie at the bottom also the dress is nice but looks a little too casual it doesnt look like it would flatter the figure especially if your frame is petite and the ruffles need a little work they look unfinished i appriciate its a sample but they need to look abit tidier. love all your work. keep it up! x
I don't like the lace at the top of the dress, but besides that i would most certainly wear it. The skirt's length is good and so is the color but i would stick to either the bow or the knot; the two of them seem to make the skirt look overdone.

Love the skirt but the white chiffon/lace on the dress looks a bit cheap. It would look much better if the colour co-ordinated with the dress as it's a lovely colour.

I think they're both really good but for the dress it looks like the sides aren't really there, that they may tear to easily then people would stop buying it... sorry if this seems rude - constructive criticism sucks sometimes. However, I want the skirt ASAP! The Dress is still really good!! I'm just wondering if it will rip easily.

PINK DRESS: Too much is going on. lace on top, satin material and hanging material on the bottom? lol..and it's all pink? Ahh, looks like 80's prom dress from hell!
SKIRT: cute concept, it's just the bow on the bottom killed it...i think that gears towards the 5th grade with that idea.
I hope you dont think that was too harsh because I admire your work and I wouldn't want you to proceed with something that can alter your line.

SKIRT: I think it is beautiful, but I also think that you need to have an spectacular body, spectacular thin and large legs to wear it. I don't think it would suit very well to the usual type of girl
i would cut the lace on the dress lower, maybe in a v-neck shape to make it sexy!! :P Also, needs to be brought in at the waist more, to make an hour-shape glass..looking good though, and i love the skirt, super cute

With the dress, I'd definitely make it a different color. There's something about it that makes it look off. The skirt is totally cute, being a fashion major I'd definitely do this. I agree with what someone said up there about having both the knot and the bow in the back... how bout the knot in the front? kinda hard with the bow, but a knot might look cute up there.
The dress is beautiful but the attachment of the ruffles seems too obvious. Loving the skirt though.

I love the skirt. The dress is real cute but it doesn't scream holiday at all. I don't know if its the color...or the sleeveless? In Minnesota, we have cold cold winters and wouldn't be able to wear that.
Also...just on the photo via internet...looks like the color would wash out pale skinned individuals.

I think the pink dress is very cute with a classy unique look. The ruffles r very cute too. I really love the skirt with the bow and polka dots. I also really like the idea of that for the holiday because it is something that is dressy enough, adorable, and NOT red, white, or black.
Maybe the lace is too high on the neckline? I would just cut off an inch or so.. :) other than that it looks really awesome!

The skirt is absolutely stunning. I think it displays a sense of high fashion, as well as a more traditional look from earlier times. I also think it can be used in a casual look, or a more dressed up look, while combining other colors to bring out the polka dots and satin look.
The dress looks great, but I think it may need to be taken in under the arms a bit. It seems that the dress would look better in a more fitted appearance. I actually like the dark lace because it breaks up the light satin and the lighter ruffles. The color scheme looks great, but the fit is hard to tell from the photos.

I adore the dress!!! I can really see it for day or night. The skirt...I'd have to see it on a person and with a top, I like it but there are plenty of clothes that I've liked and ended up looking horrible on me.
The dress is beautiful. I like the contrast of the lace (color and texture). I worry about the fit, as it looks like a straight cut down the sides. May need a little contour. I know it is a sample, but I also worry about the sowing at the top of each ruffle. Make sure they dart it flat so it doesn't look messy. The skirt is super fun.

I love the structure of the skirt, and dots are absolutely back in. I'm intrigued by the knot on the skirt, but I question the functionality of the placement of the knot. I would love to rock that skirt at work, but I think that sitting on the knot all day -- or even though a dinner -- would be terrible, plus it would probably leave a red mark on my thigh after sitting and then standing up; not attractive.

I really love the skirt. Not so much loving the dress. Something is off about the fabric that was chosen for the ruffles, also the pleating detail at the bottom puckers in a weird way.
This dress is adorable. I love the nude lace, it makes the dress look so innocent with the pale pink. I know ruffles are in, so I am getting past the white chiffonlike ruffles, but I am not a HUGE fan of rouged seaming where they are attached.
Hey Whit. So for the pink lacy dress. i love the dress but there is one thing i would maybe alter or change- the lace at the chest up the collar bone. i think its a little too much. I would maybe not make it go so high or make it a lighter color. :) Otherwise, i love it.

Love the bow and how the bow use the exact fabric of the skirt. Love the high waist, and side knot. Would also like to see it in a solid bright color, like turqoise or even orange.

I think the lace in the front (the first dress) should not be there. It's just too much with those white twirly things going on.
The skirt is cute, but the last thing at the hem of the skirt is not something I like or would give to a girlfriend.
Love the black skirt... hate the pink dress.. the whole 50's mermaid thing kinda needs to go. The buttom of the dress with the ruffles is way too much and the lace v-neck under is way too high. maybe if it was just a little lace boarding the v-neck would be nice. Also the back is way to boring. needs a little something. Carry the v-neck front to the back and have it low. witht he lace boarding the v-neck in front and back would look beautiful.

I love it. I think the colour of the dress is perfect for new years..it's kind of different from all the black we see. I do think the colour of the lace around the neck doesn't really match the colour of the ruffles on the bottom.
The skirt is amazing, perfect just like that. I would totally wear both and I think a lot of girls/woman will like it just like that, with that skirt all you need is a nice shirt and pretty shoes and you're done.

this is very beautiful piece i just think the back is very boxy. the front of the dress is designed to fit someone with a chest, but the back isn't designed to fit someone with any butt! i think with the fabric used, that's a difficult shape to wear.

The dress looks cheap, needs darker color base and heavier lace, also the proportion is weird, the lace part would hit at most womens hips, and make them look wider, needs to be longer. It's quite boring, and looks like it is from Forever 21.
The skirt is cute, but there is too much going on, the polka dots, the bow, the bottom tie. It needs to be more focused.

I love the dress and the skirt both look cute and edgy but in ma honest point of view I feel like the dress needs more white stuff at the bottom (just to make it look a little fuller)
I really like both. But the fabric for the dress puckers a little to much at the top of the ruffles, i worry it was pull when hanging when someone wears it. and the only thing i would change about the skirt is to have the bow at the hem a shorter bow like the one at the waist. But thats just my opinion.

The Dress it not what you'd expect for a holiday line, which is whats so beautiful about it. The lace at the top makes it interesting and, yes it is dark- But is that really a bad thing? Why not add a splash of a darker brown hue near the bottom, to balance out the color distribution of the piece. Perhaps a layer of dark ruffle added to the cream?
Sure, the stitching isn't perfect at the bottom, but this is a Sample! :)

i love the light pink with the white on the first dress and the ribbon detail on the shirt. But honestly, on the dress, I don't like to see the stitching above the white ruffles or the dimples above that. Also, on the skirt, does it give good shape? It might look blousy on people's hips and thighs. But if it gives a sleek look then I think you've definitely got something here. Love to see what other colors you choose for this. Thanks!

So far I'm loving the pieces. The skirt is absolutely adorable..would look great with a simple collared top, maybe a bit loose, adding contrast since the skirt is so girly. The dress is fabulous..Although some argue that the lace is up too high, I like that. The dress is a V cut, so it's more sexy, and the lace cut high adds a more conservative touch, making the perfect balance. The ruffles are very flirty..overall great pieces. I hope to see more 20's-50's inspired pieces and bring back a wave of fashion from the past!!!

I love the skirt from all aspects. The dress is gorgeous as well but I am also not a big fan of the lace. I would consider either a champagne color, lowering the neckline a tad, or removing it completely. Have you thought of adding lace detail along the v-neck line instead of underneath as a layer? Also, I like the bottom of the dress, have you consider maybe making that a darker color as well (possibly a darker nude of some sort or even a pearl or off white)? Great work thus far. I can't wait to see the finished products.

Honestly, it's cute. But it's not innovative... Seen that curvey fringe detailing about a bazillion times. Champagne and peach are both out. Very FW '08. The shiney material looks sort of cheap. Get it together girl!

a) it looks like the skirt would be hard to walk in;
b) the skirt looks a little "dumpy" - i would stick to one bow: two detracts from the bows cute detail and your eye does not know where to go;
c) it looks like the skirt would not work if either bows were missing: like each needs the other to make the design work. the smaller hem-bow works to make the dress less formal and the top-bow legitimizes the hem-bow's casualness...are either necessary? the bow may be overplayed too. plus, there may be jokes during the christmas season about the garment wearer being a present themselves.
the skirt looks good not sure about the tie at the bottom also the dress is nice but looks a little too casual it doesnt look like it would flatter the figure especially if your frame is petite and the ruffles need a little work they look unfinished i appriciate its a sample but they need to look abit tidier. love all your work. keep it up! x

I don't like the lace at the top of the dress, but besides that i would most certainly wear it. The skirt's length is good and so is the color but i would stick to either the bow or the knot; the two of them seem to make the skirt look overdone.
