In last night's episode, "Boys Night Out," the usual dose of drama escalated to an all-time high. Adam's girlfriend Allie was finally introduced when Jay and I went on a double date with them. Allie is a model and has to travel a lot and was getting ready to leave for a photo shoot tomorrow. She asked me to keep an eye on Adam...
Meanwhile, Nevan was dealing with his own issues, expressing concerns about finding a job to Olivia while at an art gallery in Chelsea.
Back to Allie and Adam -- Adam and Jay had a boys night out, and somewhere along the line a rumor began to circulate that Adam had kissed another girl. Adam tells Allie about the rumor as soon as she returns home from the shoot. She believes him but can't understand why every time she leaves town he has to have a boys night out and hang out with random girls.
As for Nevan and Olivia -- it looks like Nevan is going to be making a temporary home for himself on Olivia's couch!
As a 23-year-old young woman (wow, weird to think of myself in that respect), I learn so much each and every day that sometimes it becomes too much to soak in and I just want to explode. Every minute we have fresh emotions, new opinions and infinite thoughts that arise and eventually mold us into the women and men we are meant to be. Mixing such a phase (my mama calls it the "quarter life crisis") with actually having to relive each moment on television can be a lot to take in.
After watching tonight's episode I really began to ask myself what love truly means. Young adults like us tend to throw the term around and treat it as a manifestation of our imaginations but it has to be so much more than that, right?
Ok, so I may be getting a little too in depth about the drama that was shown on tonight's episode, but for some reason it just really hit me hard. I believe, in my heart of hearts, that Adam and Allie are in love and truly do love each other with all their souls. But because we are so young and do not have a lot of life experience, we tend to treat love as it is convenient for us.
I don't know whether the truth will prevail or whether anything even happened at all, but I do believe that at our age we have the ability to learn from our mistakes and move forward. Whether that means we forgive and forget or we cannot forgive but will always remember, is the right each of us own.
There are two main outlets I look to when attempting to sort things out - my intuition and time. Allow patience in order to do what is best for you. Allie had a lot of voices in her head, some of those whom she knew and trusted, like Adam, and some who are new friends, like us, but only want the best for her. It is an amazing quality that she confronted the situation head-on, and moreover let the vulnerability that the situation brought on reveal itself, because in the end doesn't the vulnerability pay off? I guess only time can tell...
On a lighter note, how fantastic is Nevan? Olivia and Nevan, while being so dissimilar from me as well as being from a completely different background, never fail to be quite the entertaining duo. Seems as though New York is filled with couch crashers, I should know, I was one for a little. I simply cannot wait to see what happens with them!!!
Alright, I hope I wasn't extremely depressing tonight. I am coming off a weekend of a lot of alone time and inner turmoil. Actually, let's change the attitude, may I? Revelations during relaxation is more like it.

I know a lot of guys like Adam... he's young and handsome. The predominant attitude among a lot of attractive 20-something males seems to be this sort of "Why settle down? We're young, we only get to live once and there will always be girls!" attitude. I have no problem with that if you're not stringing along a girl that wants (and deserves!) more from you. I hope for Allie's sake that Adam realizes that Allie doesn't deserve to be treated like that or that he learns his lesson from this and stops treating girls like we're disposable playthings.
Nevan & Olivia are great! I'm glad they have each other... and I can't wait to see more of them too. :)

I LOVED reading your comment on yesterday's episode! I mean, if you had a lonely weekend, that's what we fans are hear for you too (besides your friends obvs): tell us if you have something on your mind and we got your back.
I love that you care about others and that it's sometimes hard when you see your life a few months later on TV. I am just doing a rhetoric course and am taped while doing speeches and I feel so weird seeing me talk on the screen and that's only talking on topics and not my personal life. You get a different perspective and that's gets you struggling sometimes.
You are definitely right that it's hard for young people to find their way to deal with relationships and love. That's why boys (or should I say men) at their late-20s were always the ones I liked most (like, with celebrities and stuff), because they have their thing more or less thought out but are still young and fun. Luckily with being 20 I can actually get together with guys this age more and more and I guess that's the good thing we and you can look forward, like you said: that time will do the rest and help us grow up.

Dana, she got her couch from Dune - I just got some fabric swatches from there because Im having a similar couch made for myself from there (different model - same fabric). They make custom furniture and pieces - Whitney had their turbo couch covered in the St. Tropez "azure" fabric that we all love. It's even more beautiful in person let me tell you!!! As for the beautiful coral colored throw pillows, I want them badly but I too don't know where they came from!!!
