Hi all! Sorry I've been missing for a little. This weekend was my
sister Ashley's fiance's birthday, as well as her 27th birthday, so there
was a lot of family time and celebrating!!! I came home and surprised Ash for the weekend!!!!
I'm heading back to New York tomorrow evening and I'm definitely sad to leave my family, but so excited to get back!
Anyway, I wanted to take this time to free write a bit about all the drama that went down on last night's episode of The City.
In He Never Said He Had a Girlfriend, the conflict continued between Allie and Adam. Jay and Adam threw an art gallery opening event at Collective Hardware and the party had a huge turnout! Everyone made an appearance, including Samantha's friend Catarina, who decided after a lunch chat with Samantha that it would be best to confront Allie and let her know EXACTLY what happened between her and Adam.
After hearing what Catarina had to say, Allie ran to the bathroom in tears with Adam not far behind. The two of them left the party and after arguing briefly outside went their separate ways.
Later on in the episode, Jay and I discussed the situation in my apartment. Jay had faith in his friend and chose to trust that Adam wouldn't betray Allie like that. I on the other hand was a bit more skeptical.
In the final scene, Adam and Allie met for dinner at Mercer bar. Adam desperately tried to convince Allie that Catarina was making up the entire thing. Allie chose to listen to her heart and believe Adam.
So many of us have been in relationships where betrayal has arisen. I deeply believe that we all need to know our self worth and attempt to achieve that self confidence that we each are capable of owning. People make mistakes, we are only human. However, in the case of Adam and Allie, I do not even know for certain that a mistake was made.
In the end, what I have learned is to always be there for our loved ones when they need a shoulder to cry on, but when it comes down to it we are the only rulers of our own destiny.
Check out my recap from last week's episode of The City!

What you don't know does not hurt you! People should not be getting involved in other relationships. For you to get involved is totally ridiculous. You need to worry about your relationship with Jay and not his friend. Worry about what makes him happy and what turns him on the most;)He's a man and you have to understand that if the tables were turned and you had a situation where one of your friends were allegedly unfaithful (or being accused)you would def back them up 100%. Thats what friends are for. To have your back no matter what!!! On the other hand, I'm also glad that you told Jay how you really felt about the situation because a woman needs a voice in a relationship and he needs to know that if Allies situation would of been yours, that would have not been tolerated. You also were in the same predicament in the beginning of the show but things were young between you guys. It wasn't that serious and it wasn't a committed relationship. A man never likes being compared or be made an example of, and that exactly what you did last night. To break it down you told him that he was just like his friend (a player) LOW BLOW! Stop worrying about Jay and all these rumors of him dating, kissing, dancing with other girls. Sometimes girls are spiteful, sometimes men are players! Are you going to drive yourself crazy? Sooner or later the truth always comes to light. You are to DOPE for all that. You have to be sexy, confident, smart, and the center of attention. I mean he is pretty but your the one that looks good here. So dont sweat him. Focus on yourself and your work. You have to work hard and play hard. By showing him that you have so much going on right now and your not so caught up in his world or his every move he will notice sooner or later that if he messes up...he will be the one to lose out big time!!! Those never ending legs of yours will walk out of his life forever!!!
I totally agree with Princess Diana. Worry about you and not the little things.
To the comment above me yes its true but sometimes you do have to worry because like whitney says that sometimes you can be just like the company you hang out with...and jay did lie to you because just now looking at the episode adam never comfirmed it he was quiet with jay, so that kind of makes you reevaluate your relationship with him cuz why would you lie about something that small...anyways...what was the outfit you wore at the art gallery and where did you get that jeweled headband from???
Hey Whit!
I love when you give the run down of what you have on and the show is about you, but some of your friends dress pretty cute, you think you can give what Erin, Allie, or Olivia is wearing. I loved Erin's top that she had on in the park with you last week.
I think Whitney did the right thing by speaking up to Jay. Sometimes, your friends' behaviors will somewhat reflect back on you. You all have seen how these boys can behave in clubs! Sometimes they even encouraged each other to be bad. It wasn't like she was saying: "If you don't dog out your friend, then it's over with me!" She was just letting him know upfront that she wouldn't tolerate that sort of thing.
I think it's great that the show set the record straight on Jay and that he wasn't trying to hide anything on the matter.
i agree with grace above. i think whitney acted maturely, she was just being there for her friend, she didn't add fuel to the fire or assume anything, other people can DEFINITELY rub off on you and she was just being reassured that she wouldn't have to go through something like that with jay and she hoped her relationship was better than that.
Hey Whitney!About last night episode i really think that Catarina was telling the truth, what's the point in saying that she and Adam kissed to Allie? Allie is Adam's girlfriend and it must had take a lot to Catarina just go forward and teel Allie that, she must had feel awfull.I think that she was just keeping it real. She deserves credit for that because if it was a random girl she problably wouldn't care teeling "the grilfriend" that, and would avoid putting herself in that situation. Of course Adam find a way to turn the truth a complete lie again, to win Allie back and Allie believed him i guess love is blind and who am i to judge that.I think you do not act wrong by sharing your opinion with Jay, you were just watching out for a friend and for yourself when you speak up and said that you would not tolerate if Jay ever did that to you. What was that scene with Olivia at work? She was a little rude.I think you tried to resolve things the best way you could,as an adult.I love how Erin dresses, her clothes, you and Erin have a great style
Hello Whitey!!
...If anyone thinks that Olivia is for real, give me a break. She has been trying to get on a show for a couple of years. She is not mature, she talks about Whitneys friends like they are not good enough for her and her retarded cousin Nevan. I mean " I wouldn't even know how to ask people like that to a party" I mean c'mon..they are so snobby, I dont know how they can see past their noses. What makes them better than everyone else. If she didnt want to hear Whitney talk about Allie, she could have said it nicer, without the comment about being in High School. Get over yourself Olivia, you have no friends and we know why. Your a snob
wish i saw more of u in the last episode whiney.......
I just want to say, Whitney, Olivia was rude. If she were any kind of friend, she would have listened to you whether she wanted to or not. And who doesn't have some kind of drama at some point in their lives. She acts like she is above everyone else, and I think that's b/c she's insecure. I think she is jealous of you...you could tell from the first episode she is. And Kelly couldn't have said it any better when she was like "Olivia, she WORKS there? I can't believe that...she's never worked before." She tries to act like she's little miss new york. She is very lucky to have a friend like you! I would be grateful if we were friends!
As for the Allie situation...it's hard not to believe Catarina. I mean, why would she want to make up something like that and cause drama. She was crying at the gallery after she told Allie what happened. I know from personal experience that as your once titled episode said "the truth will reveal itself." I was in an EXACT situation and believe my ex boyfriend, only to find out way down the road that it was true. I wasted all that extra time with him! I hope this helps!
Loved the show last night, but still can't decide if Olivia is worth anyone's time! She does have a nice sense of style though :)

Love Olivia's style but she def needs a man in her life. Geeze I wonder why she doesn't have one. Yeah right we all know why!

Hi Whitney! I watched The City, not having heard of The Hills, but I don't think I'm missing out. (I eventually looked at The Hills after watching the first episode of The City, but it was boring in comparison to you).
I have to say that you have a FANTASTIC sense of style that is admirable! I love the yellow dress from your first day at work. The black dress that you wore on your date (which accentuates your amazing legs which I wish I had) was so chic.
About this episode: on one hand, Caterina was smiling when she told Allie about Adam, but Adam didn't outright say that it didn't happen. I guess in real life, unlike scripted shows, issues aren't always resolved.
It's awesome that you are giving us a behind the scenes scoop, but don't get too burned out, or focus too much on social games.
Until next week,
Heather from Washington, DC
Congrats on the renewal of the City. I know from what I heard that the ratings aren't like the Hills but this is a new show. Things progress as time goes by. A lot of people aren't used to you or NYC so with that people will understand. God Bless!
You were very supportive of Allie and I admire that, but what goes on between her and Adam shouldn't cause friction between you and Jay. Comparing your boyfriend to his best friend so early on in a relationship is not cool. Obviously, he's going to stick up for Adam - that's his boy! The problem is between Allie and Adam’s - just be there for HER.
Don’t be offended…
Coming from an older crowd, I can understand Olivia’s behaviour. She is fully aware that Allie and Adam’s problem IS NOT your problem and therefore perceives your conversation on the subject as trivial and childish gossip. It can be irritating to hear this sort of talk in an office environment, especially when you’re trying to get on with your work or have your own personal issues to deal with.
i didn't like how Olivia said it but she was dead on with what she said. Unless the person involved is your best friend or sister it's best for all parties if you stay far removed from the situation and all the gossip surrounding it Chances are the relation will implode (or not) on it's own anyway and why have the additional stress of putting yourself in the middle.
That said, I adore you and the show and I'm thrilled you were picked up for a second season. I'll be watching : )
whitney!!!!
i love you! youre so classy and refreshingly honest! what a change for mtv. I am dying to know...WHO MAKES THAT FAB LEOPARD PRINT BIKINI YOU JUST WORE IN MIAMI???? I AM LOVING IT BUT I CANT FIND IT ANYWHERE!!!
thanks!!!!!!!
Hi Whitney!
