WHITNEY EVE SPRING COLLECTION, 2009
What an unbelievable and surreal day this 20th of January has been!

While watching the events of today's inauguration all morning, I couldn't help but be overwhelmed with tears of excitement at the prospect of change!!! I have never been more proud to be a young, American adult.

We have witnessed one of the most momentous occasions in our country's history and must remember these feelings of hope forever and ever. May we continue to remain open to all walks of life and learn something new every day from each and every person we encounter.

Be sure to embrace such a moment and appreciate how connected we all feel today. Moreover, take from this appreciation the importance of community and sticking together. No matter our differences, we are all human beings that deserve the freedoms such change can and WILL renew.

GOBAMA!!!

P.S. Here's a pic I snapped on my phone of me watching the coverage of the inauguration on my couch!

OMGOSH whit! i cry when i saw obamas speech i got really goose bumps . omg it was awesome. whit congrationlations for your new president.

Well, even though I´m not American I watched the inauguration too! We all love Obama, hopefully he´ll be a better president than Bush ever was... I think that might be an easy task.

Anyway, I love The City! Keep up the good work!:) Lots of love from Norway<3

I think his speeach truly was inspriring, and I wish you all the best as young Americans to bring your country forward (being German myself).

Sorry to be so out of topic, but with you showing a pic of yourself sitting on your coach I was wonderinh whether you could possibly show us some pics of your apartment here, like a more general overview on the living room for example - or is there a bigger hoe story" in the pipeline already? That would be awesome and really nice to see because from what I see on the City, I'd say your apartment is amazing!

yours - Mona

It was definitley history in the making!

Obama is the right president for US and he's gonna for sure make some good and big changes that the US needs! Go Obama!
Too bad that some people are such retards that they are saying really mean things about the ethic that Obama is. But I'm glad that I could see the whole thing on TV, because I don't live in the US.

love your show.i try not to miss it.good to know that your very confident to make a move like that.la and new york are to diffrent typ of city's.one is going the slow and relaxed way and the other one is as fast and moving like the thunder.all the best to you.wishes karla from north carolina

Hey Whitney,I completely agree with you.I hope he can fix our country and make it great again. It felt like complete unity out there, which makes me so proud.I am proud to be a young american as well and will do my part to make this my year of change as well.Take care Whitney and can't wait for new show monday:)Kim

Whitney, I was THERE! Did you see me? ;-) I witnessed history and felt so alive and SO proud to be an American. Waiting for 10 hours on my feet to hear and see Obama and feel his energy bring unity upon all of America was SURREAL, beautiful, and inspiring. We are lucky to be part of this history!!

Hi, I'm writing from Japan. The event was actually attracting attentions across the globe. Hope we can do something with the problems we are facing under his leadership. Anyway, I'm enjoying your show :) It's not on the air here so watching full episodes from the website. Looking fwd to the next one!

this has nothing to do with obama, i just didnt knwo where to leave a comment to ask where you get your hair done, or how they do it? dye on top and streaks below? i've broughten in pictures to hairdressers and they don't get it! i know its not rocket science, the closest i've come is doing it myself and i'm pretty good, but i'd like ur input. Thanks!

You all get back to me in four years and tell me if you still have the same opinions you do right now!

hey miss go bush.
i think she was just saying how amazing it is to witness history like this. so no matter who you voted for, you have to appreciate this historical moment in time. get over your right wing self.

It wasn't a historical moment for the fifty some million people that didn't vote for him...

It was a historical moment for the whole world! The people in Holland are all Obama fanatics!!! Even though we are Dutch. We are able to love America again. Now living in the Middle East for a while I can sense there is a sight of relief here. People all over the world cried a little on the 20th of January. We are so proud of America, that is moving foreward.

Despite that Whitney you are a lefty, i still like you for you. I am a righty, and FYI it doesnt' matter if i dislike OBAMA in general it was a historical momment for america. So Republican, Liberal or Demi we are all American's and need to respect each other for who each other is. Bring sweet boldness to the things that are not right and bring love to those in darkness... that's all. Whit forever!!!
