Monday night's episode of The City was filled with relationship drama between Allie and Adam, and one can't help but wonder whether Allie was right in choosing to believe Adam over Catarina when it came to their alleged "kiss".
In situations such as these, it's hard to know who to believe; the love of your life who you want more than anything to trust, or a perfect stranger who wants to speak to you "female to female" and has absolutely no reason to lie.

Just based on the expressions of Cat and Adam, I'm going towards Cat. She cried after telling Allie the bad news. She seemed more sincere than Adam. His expressions were "wishy washy" I would say. It didn't seem right whenever the camera was on him. That's what I think 4rm what I saw! Congrats on a renewed season btw.
HEY WHITNEY! ok so honestly i was against this whole spin off thing off the hills because i seriously HATED the hills. i hated how everything seemed so fake so scripted and makes me roll my eyes everytime. but i can honestly say by watching the city (all of the episodes actually) i realllly respect how your show and its people are so much more real and genuine than the hills. no disrespect, but im just saying i really enjoy the city's realistic vibes. good show
Okay...why would this girl Catarina go on national television in front of millions of viewers to basically ruin Allie and Adam's relationship and make herself look like a slut?? Hmm ya that really makes sense. Also, wasn't it said in that episode that she had a boyfriend of like 4 years, too? So Allie thinks Catarina's going to come on to this show to disrupt her relationship and to ruin her own relationship as well? I think Allie is a little delusional. I think Adam does adore her and I'm sure she is the only girl he wants to "be with"...still doesn't mean he didn't cheat.

Adam was SO lying!! I think that deep down, Allie knew that but at the end of the day, she wasn't ready to give up what she and Adam have together and by admitting to herself and to him that she knows he cheated on her...well there's no turning back from there. The trust is just gone at the point. I definitely believe Catarina and feel really bad for Allie!
i know Cat, and know for a fact that they hooked up bc i was there!! Cat even lost her boyfriend over this dramz... whitney you shouldnt even care bc it doesnt involve you and don't think jay will do the same to you just bc he's friends w adam, thats so highschool like. If you have trust in Jay then it will last!
I think everyone knows Adam is lying, including Allie. She just doesn't want to break up with Adam over something that can't be proven. She feels like she has to give Adam the benefit of the doubt because she loves him.
By the way, am I the only one who thinks Adam and Catarina are complete fools for hooking up when they know this show is being filmed and aired on television? Obviously, Allie (and Cat's boyfriend) was bound to find out. Adam is gorgeous, but not too smart it seems. He doesn't come up with a good reason to explain why Cat would make something like that up. It's as if he thinks that repeatedly calling Allie "honey" will make his side of the story seem genuine.
With that said, I do actually think that Adam truly loves Allie. But I also think that he took their relationship for granted. He should have never have been hanging out with other girls at that hour of the night, especially after they've all been drinking-- that's just asking for trouble. Whether or not he and Cat did make out, it was the wrong position to be in. I'm sure he wouldn't appreciate it if the situation were reversed and Allie had done that to him.
Hopefully, now that he's seen how much he's hurt her he won't dare to do anything like this again.
It's obvious they made out so why doesn't Adam just admit it? He should have come clean and asked for Allie's forgiveness. It's the lying that I don't respect more than anything.

This is a tough one! Watching it from outside the situation you look at the TV and scream "how can you believe him!" and think if you were in that situation you'd never let him get away with it!... but then i can remember being in love and having clouded judgement as well. Love changes everything and sometimes it IS worth fighting for... the question is at what point is it worth compromising your values?
Obviously she has to trust Adam. He is denying the cheating and why should she believe a girl she has just met over her boyfriend who she has been together with for years? I hope she realize the truth though.
Hey whiteny omg first off love the show i never miss it on the whole adam & catarina kiss i think allie should have believed catarina. As they said on the show why is allie even with adam if she has to tell other people to watch her man when she goes out of town. That doesnt seem like they have trust in that whole relationship as the saying goes their can be no love without trust and allie is going to have to find out the hard way. She's a model she can have anyone allie if you read this your beautiful and trust me their is men out there that will respect you and apppreciate you for who you are adam has no respect for allie to be able to lie to someone and look them in the eye says alot about what kind of person he is allie get packing dump adam and love hurts but what doesnt kill you makes you stronger. i've been in your position and i know what you feel he's a dog u deserve better.
Haha, a pretty clear answer of us thinking differently than Allie - but I would say that's mainly because Adam is portrayed in a way that makes him look like a cheater, from the first moment on - I think it's hard for us to judge more or less objective then.
Adam is just like every other senseless and selfish guy out there who wants to have the beautiful woman stay at home and shut up, while he goes out and slut around town. whatever. im so over him and his childish and pathetic behaviour.

I don't believe Adam. For one it seems like when they met up to talk the only thing he kept saying was "Honey I love you" etc. He wasnt trying to really get down into the relationship problems and his character flaws. If a girl has to go out and supposedly lie about something that went down, then he must of led her on or something. I'm not saying he did or didn't. But it's questionable when a situation like that arises no matter what.

the producers should tell her to revise her lines!
If Allie keeps forgiving Adam for things like this he will NEVER learn not to do it again because he knows that Allie will always go back to him and trust him. He'll just keep making the same mistake over and over again.

It's so hard to tell with these things because people can be so shady esp when there is media involved. Who knows if this irl is just crying for attention? I think it all depends on Adam's past.
ok! i have been in the exact same situation and i have to say IT IS NOT EASY!! i totally understand where Allie is coming from though. She must be soo torn...BUT (big BUT) she should not have played it off so easily, I would have atleast pressed harder for a confession from him! cuz it was beyond obvious he was lying. I just think Allie should have more back bone and not let adam back into her life soo easily. hey whitney! so tonights episode, kelly was talking about how allie is too skinny and allie was really upset and couldnt handle the pressure. well i think that allie asked to be told what was going on with her because she needs to realize that she looks like a stick figure. and i thought the camera should add 10 pounds? well she needs help. and i encourage kelly to keep her honest and bold opinions flowing! whitney, you're such an idol and a real person. i followed up on laguna beach and the hills and grew to dislike lauren. i dont know her but it seems that everything got to her head, dont let that happen to you! you seem like a doll! and tell allie that even in the modeling industry that curves are beautiful, look at kim kardashian!
2nd season? Awesome! I like the plot so far in the show with the Allie and her bf issue and now the issue of how skinny is too skinny? I think it's important that Kelly brought up the topic but I didn't think that she had to personally attack Allie about it to make a point. Allie is having a tough time right now. I hope her boyfriend has learned his lesson. If he ever does it again she should tell him to get lost.
