WHITNEY EVE SPRING COLLECTION, 2009
Hey guys!  I hope you enjoyed part one of my recap of the premiere of The City -- now here's the part two!

So my first few days in New York were a huge success!  I was thrilled to hear from Alixe about how pleased everyone at Diane Von Furstenberg was with how the show went backstage, and I was so flattered that Olivia invited me to her dinner party.  I was a little upset when Jay didn't want to come with me to Olivia's but I understood that it wasn't really his scene.  He more than made up for it though by showing up and surprising me!  With everything going so well, I definitely didn't anticipate the drama that was about to ensue!

When Alex and I had lunch, I thought it was just so we could catch up -- little did I know that he would hit me with a slew of upsetting facts about Jay and his ex.  I truly felt sick to my stomach but I had to compose myself.  I noticed that when I get nervous I put my hand on my ear and my face -- just a funny habit!

To make matters worse, then came the fight between Jay and Alex -- sooooo much swearing!  My mom always taught me never to swear in an argument if you want to be taken seriously.  Obviously they were very heated and passionate about the subject so I guess I can't really blame them.

After all the drama, it was so nice to be back at People's Revolution with Kelly -- I felt so at home there.  Kelly is such an awesome mother figure in New York; she keeps an eye on me and is so loyal.  Thank God for her!!!!

So that's my little play-by-play of my thoughts and feelings regarding the premiere.  I hope you all enjoyed the episodes and stay tuned!

I would love to hear what you all thought so please leave your feedback in comments!

All of these pics came from Monday night's episode on THECITY.MTV.COM.

The show was great, whitney!

The show was great, My Boyfriend and I watched it together.. He is an avid Fan of The Hills, I myself have never really watched it before.. But I was intrigued with The City because both him and I are from NYC. :)

I think I'll keep watching. :)

Hey Whitney

I just watched the show on the MTV Website and it was so cool, i loved the two episodes!!!
But i have to say that this girl Olivia is weird, she seems so jealous when anyone do better than her, have you seen the way she looked at you when alixe told you how great everything went? and when jay showed up at her "dinner"?? she seemed so jealous!! ive heard on the show that you didn't know who to trust, i don't wanna be mean to her but im sure Olivia isnt a person who can be trust!! she seems even worst that spencer, seriously, the devil wears Prada, or maybe manholos, haha!!! Just look the way she look at you on the show, or at other people...

Anyway, beside of that, you did a great job, so congrats!! and erin seems to be a good friend!!!
i hope you will have fun and i wish you the best!!

oh, do you know if the show is going to air on French MTV??

Happy new year!!

xoxo,

Raphaelle

Hi Whitney. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your show. It looks like you are having an amazing time in NYC. I live in North Carolina and would bend over backwards to do what you are doing. Do you have any advise on getting into the fashion industry? I would move to NYC in a minute if the opportunity presented itself. Any advise you could give would be very much appreciated.

I love how down to earth you are and you seem like a wonderful person on the inside and out.

Can you share tips on how you do your hair each day? It looks amazing and effortless!

Thank you and I look forward to many more seasons.

Jennifer

No offense, but I thought the fight scene between Alex and Jay was so funny because of all the F bombs being thrown. I guess they needed to do it to get a point across but I thought it was just plain hilarious! I can't believe U were in the middle of it, poor U, but glad that's over. Can't wait till next week.

i loved your show, it was good to see your take/perspective on things and to see you have a more upfront role.

P.s. keep the nice clothes coming!t

Hi Whitney. I love you! I was honestly a bit nervous to watch The City and get so invested in new people, but jeez, I love you so much, I knew it would be awesome and it was. I'm hooked from the 1st episode. I really think watching this show i'm going to be upset about not ever visiting NYC. Someday I will! :)

Take care and i'm excited about the rest of the season. :)

This is so freakishly fake that I'm surprised that you actually got responses as if this was real.

You don't even work for DVF.

hey whitney congratulations I love the part two of the show. I love the way you make the city some much fun that it really is. you look great and I wish you all the best, you really deserve to be happy with jay but don't belive everythig that jay and your friends says because you just meet them.I can't wait to see the next episode.xoxo ana from venezuela

whitney !!

nothing to say except LOVE THE SHOW!!! everything is so much bettter than the hills and everyone is so attractive looking and stylish!! lovessitt!!
best of luck!

The show was great! I always loved you on the hills because you seem so down to earth and real, and I love seeing what outfits you wear :) So I'm excited that this show is all about you! haha. It's so much fun to watch you in new york too, it's a completely different energy and vibe from L.A.
Good luck with everything! I have a feeling "the city" is going to be a huge success.

Whitney,
Loved the show. How much of the show is scripted - not that it matters.

Hi Whitney,

I live in Sweden where I have followed you on The Hills and now in The City. I just wanted to tell you how much I have enjoyed watching these two shows and how mature and compose you seem to be. My comment is mainly about Jay I hope that "the truth have already revealed itself" but if not maybe you should just trust your gut feeling. Lots of luck in NY!

I loved the episodes Whitney! I loved the opener and the music, i was surprised the guys were cast member to be honest. i was really surprised jay showed up to the dinner party and the look on your face! he seems really nice, i just dont know whether to trust him, i felt like the gemini reference was foreshadowing, i really want to like him! i cant believe olivia kept asking you where he was at that dinner party, it was so rude, my bf is like that sometimes with my friends, i mean cant i be away from him for one night without people constantly asking me where he is. is my life supposed to stop or something? i also really like erin. cant wait for the rest of the season. im so glad its just you on the show i love your expressions!

Whitney I think your take on makeup is perfect for all girls.

I wanted to know what products you use or ticks you have.

Can't wait for more episodes of The City so I can be even more inspired by you!

Hi Whitney!
Just want so say that I really enjoyed the show. That is, except for Olivia. She seems like such an unpleasant person. Just like Heidi and Spencer on the Hills, she's the part I'd really like to edit out!
Also, one has to wonder how you could have moved to NY in September when you were filming the Hills well into December! The episode where you were "moving" was the one where Heidi and Spencer got married, which everyone knows happened in December. We all know these shows are staged, but sometimes just insult your fans' intelligence. Be careful, because as you see with the Hills' ratings now people don't watch when it's obviously fake. But I'll keep watching the City and wish you all the best!

I love it Whitney, mostly because you seem to be such a genuin and lovely person. I used to wath the hills and thats where you caught me, you just seem so sweet and down to earth so that when i head that you got your own show i got very exited to see more of you. have a great day!

As a fellow New Yorker, girl you should have let him call that girl when he offered and set the record straight. From my experience, guys only offer the "let's call the other woman" ploy because they know we won't take them up on it. We don't want to seem crazy and desperate, but at least then you would have heard it straight from his and her mouth. Then again you guys aren't exclusive.

hey whit!

I think your show was so so and i think your a prety girl and you dont need to get involved in drama..also yes jay is cute and but ijust think that you shouldnt trust him and also how he acted really cowardly towards alex i mean come one he had to call his friend adam hottie so he can protect him really do you want a loser like that..you deserve better its imberrasing that your man cant even stand up for himself but anywho the rest who really care if this girl olive or livia who cares what her name is..is jealous theres alot of catty girls expecially snobby girls like her she's not pretty she looks old and she's yay...high..dont even bother with her..

when does the show come to Sweden?

Hi Whitney,

I'm from Germany and I as the Swedish guys before me watched your show online. I'm so sad that there are all these reports about how there weren't that many viewers for your premiere around - because I LOVE The City! I guess there are even more people watching online so don't let Perez Hilton or whoever tell you that it's not good what you're doing!

I can't wait for the season and to get to know your friends and you and NYC better through the show. Are you comfortable in New York yet? Anyways, have a wonderful New Year's Eve and a good start in 2009! I wish you all the best for your personal, private and professional life! ;)

xoxo Mona

Hi Whitney,

There are rumors that you do not work at DVF. Do you work there or not? There was no preface for Erin, is she one of your friends from home or how do you know her?

Hi Whitney,

The show was great! I'm from Holland/The Netherlands so I had to watch the show on the internet but that was okay!
It's crazy cause I think so many people over the whole wide world watch the hills and the city now.
It seems like you like Olivia. she sure is nice, but I have the feeling that she just wants to be on television...? I found it so weird that everybody knew each other.. everybody knew Olivia as you said isn't it strange! I also love your outfits hahah so funny that the construction workers are checking you out.. it's the same in Holland too.. I think you never been in Holland but it's freezing out here and noo it's not all about the drugs and weed en hoes. okay enough about Holland. Have fun in NY and still a happy new year!
I really don't know if you read this at all but i hope it and i don't really know is you respond something back haha.. but as we say in Holland: veel succes met Jay en bij DVF= much luck with Jay and DVF!

greetz F

nice show!!! i'm looking forward for more episodes and seasons to come...definitely a must see.. happy new year!!!=) xoxo M.

Hi Whitney,

I think that this show is going to be huge! You have a way of keeping viewers intrigued and I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that you aren't so crass as some of the other people on both The City and The Hills. You seem like such a strong lady and I think that's why viewers will keep coming back for more. You definitly inspire me each week to be the best female that I can be!

Good show!!! Whitney has been my favourite person in The Hills as she seems genuine and caring, additionally she is fresh and chic. Good luck with your career :) I'm also watching the shows from internet as we do not have this show in Finland yet....

Hi Whit - I, too, really enjoyed your first 2 episodes (online - thanks mtv.com!). Naturally, with you being a great gal, a show about your life will be great too. Have to agree with Olivia though, stay strong & independent. You are young and having fun should be a priority, not settling down and getting clingy with a guy. Especially not one who apparently comes with drama. You're better than that.

Best of luck to you! Cheers to the new year and to your new life!
xx

Hea Whitney

I thought you looked great too! Your outfights totally fit the show especially when you are with Jay. You two look so romantic. Does anyone help you to get dressed before your big dates or work?

Sorry Whitney but... I'm trusting Alex on this one. Especially after the viewers heard Jay say he wasn't going to stop seeing other people. If thats his thing fine, but he couldve told you that he wanted to see other girls still. Alex seems like a really nice guy who doesn't want to see you get hurt or embarassed. Maybe not a boyfriend for you but seems like a friend who you could trust.

Good Luck! You've always been my fav hills girl!

Hi Whitney, I'm glad The City turned out to be so good, you kept your kind of drama-free character and just showed us that you're a sweet, smart girl.
Also loved when Jay did the american accent, haha.
Good luck with the show!

Hello Whitney!

I am a 25 year old girl, (too old..haha) watching your show from Norway. I must say that I really like the way you behave and treat other people. You seem like a really empathic, understanding and wise girl. You are my favourite "actress" in the Hills, a natural talent! you are born to be a star! I was so excited to hear that you were moving to the city, and even have your own show.

I think you are so adorable! I love your legs, wish they were mine;)

If I could give you one advice it would be: Listen to your heart. Dare to feel alone. By feeling alone it leads to growth as a person. But still- continue the dating and working and have a lot of fun in The City!!:) I wish you the best!

I forgot one thing! I think Jay got too aggressive when you confronted him. He also got very aggressive in the bar when Alex went up to him. Its not necessarily a bad sign, but I think he should have stayed more calm.. I don't know if these guys see you for who you are.. It must be difficult for you. Alex is bitter. Definently.

GOOOOOOD LUCK DAARLING:)

I love your new show, even more than the Hills! :) I hope Jay will treat you good in the future, don't pick any more fights with guys in bars! You seem like a very sweet girl and you shouldn't mess with sweet girls! ;) I'm looking forward to the next episode! Love from Sweden

Heyyy Whitney!!! i loved the first episodes of the show, but i think you have to watch out for these guys. Doesn't seem like both of them are at all good news. I'd be careful with Jay, doesn't seem to honest!!! Kinda weird how you heard all this stuff so fast, has to be something going on!! haha. anyway looking forward to next week.

Good Luck.

Hi Whitney, I really loved the show...You are really graceful and classy....hopefully you listen to your intuition, we as women have it sooooo strong. Jay is a really cute guy, BUT......He has admitted that he does as he wishes and that is what u should do....YOU ARE IN CONTROL......Leave your options open...I am so happy for you...You deserve this show and i know MANY<MANY wonderful oppurtunities will follow.Hope to be able to communicate w/you....Much love and blessings....Kay..Kansas City Mo.

Hey Whitney! I just watched all two episodes of 'The City' and i absolutely loved it! It's great to see that you are handling every situation with the best that you can and adjusting so naturally to the new environment! I aspire to be JUST like you when i grow up. I'm only 16 and i have been DREAMING all my life to do exactly what you do. I know it's cliche to say 'Fashion is my life' but i really do mean it. I can't wait for episode three to air! I hope you have a great 2009 with many many blessings to come!

xoxo

p.s. i adore all your outfits!

I knew I'd enjoy and love the first 2 episodes of your new show! It's nice to see this side of you instead of taking a backseat sorta speak. You and I are similar in regards to being classy, nice, smart, optomistic, and drama free. Being such good girls it can be difficult to find a nice guy around. Alex does seem like a keeper, although, it's hard to say if you can trust either him or Jay. As I was watching the 2nd episode I couldn't help thinking if Olivia and Jay had a "thing" for she kept bringing up Jay. That definitely raised an eyebrow so watch your back around those three.

You've made it with your television shows and upcoming clothing line; so I wish you the best of luck in your personal life!

keep in mind the show edits like crazy and who wouldn't look like a bitch when they close in all you're somewhat unkind comments all together.. plus keep in mind whitney isn't completely innocent either as she did not forewarn olivia to a different guest coming and also she left early which is also rather rude.. editing can be your best friend or worst enemy.

GREAT JOB on your new show Whitney..you got me hooked! and i love how your not all into 'drama' like the HILLS girls aways were...God Bless you in New York....

I'm sure many of you caught this. When Jay and Alex were playing basketball. Jay had mentioned that Whitney had asked him to go to Olivia's dinner with her and thought that things were going too fast between them. Alex had asked what the deal was and he was going to stop seeing other girls. That says a lot. I wouldn't put it pass Jay that he would still try to holler at his ex Danielle. Anyhow, what an interesting and intriguing start to the show! I just hope it pulls in bigger numbers.

I live in the UK and I can't watch The City on the Americam MTV website :( The City is not yet availiable on the UK website, but I hope that it will come up soon, because I just can't wait until I will se the show!

Love you :)
